There won't be a ground invasion. Netanyahu has an election in a few weeks. Last thing he wants to see is body bags returning to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem. Only a joker in the pack move, like Egypt getting involved or even Hezbollah, will change that. And I don't think that will happen.

Someone hasn't seen the live feeds......Gaza wasn't destroyed and isn't now. The growing chorus of condemnations is deja vu from 2008. Only a matter of hours now before Netanyahu becomes the pussy he claimed Ehud Olmert was.

So we may have another week of air strikes before we will see ceasefire talks and then once a ceasefire is brokered things will settle down to same pattern. In essence, this skirmish has changed nothing. It will take Israel attacking Iran or indeed vice versa to change the dynamic.

Netanyahu won't back down. Hamas won't stop firing, that is why. That is why he won't back down, because HAMAS won't stop firing, they have had half their leadership liquidated, and their weapons caches destroyed, they will fire until they can all become martyrs.
