Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1265632 same here, 4 initial shots, few seconds later 4 booms, i cant remember hearing the earlier strikes echo was told last night they are rounds from a ship in the sea behind the cam, and the quieter bangs are the impacts where the shells land. then someone else said the loud bangs are the impacts, and the quiet bangs are the sounds of the firing of them catching up. "then someone else said the loud bangs are the impacts, and the quiet bangs are the sounds of the firing of them catching up." Correct answer. From the Cam's point of view. If we were on the ship, it's the other way around. |

That was a joke. A variant of something called the "Opposite Russian prank" or something The first louder bangs are the ship firing. The quieter follow up sounds are the shells hitting buildings. |

On the other hand IAF jets and drones have night vision, heat vision, infrared and laser guided munitions ! |

Why Hamas started shooting the rockets at Israel? Quoting: TheDude99 Something about a blockade? There was an ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Likud, and in the case of hostilities for some other reason, ie. by Islamic Jihad or someone else, that the retaliation would be limited to those groups. Israel broke that agreement when they attacked and killed Hamas military leader. Retaliation by Hamas soon followed... Ok, thanks. So it sounds like Israel started this? I would say so, at least with Hamas. But I think they wouldnt have escalated it unless they had a larger objective in mind, re smuggling tunnels. |

The sounds of them landing are not uniform because targets are at varying distances from ship. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15242038 United States 11/18/2012 04:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The ground invasion will be the beginning of the end of the war. It won't last much longer than that. Quoting: endoftimes101 Israel will take a few weeks to go in and clean up. There will be some casualties for their soldiers. Hamas will make sure children and women are killed. That is their priority. Kill the children and parade them in front of the cameras. Look what Israel has done to our children. Dog and pony show for Hamas. They breed children to kill them. All for show. Disgusting humans. The ground offensive will piss off the regional leaders even more. They will parade in front of cameras and make demands. They will make threats. They will do nothing. Bank on that as fact. The bigger story is that this is likely the first operation. Israel had to clean up the southern border before they attack Iran. Most likely that will happen next year. Assuming Israel can't handle it through cyber-warfare or inside operations. Hard to say. Russia and China won't do anything when Iran is attacked. Their goal is to make money. Russia can't wait until Iran is hit. Once they are hit then Russia can resell them supplies and equipment. Russia and China will make billions off of Israel bombing Iran. Behind closed doors most in the Middle East are waiting for Israel to attack Iran. Most in the Middle East do not want Iran to become top dog. They don't want them to have nukes. They will say in front of the cameras that they want Israel to be destroyed. Behind closed doors, however, they want Israel to take out Iran's nuclear capabilities. This is all a dog and pony show. The ground operations are no big deal. Gaza will return to normal soon enough. Agreed. Sounds like a whole lot of bullcrap to me. I mean, is this guy some sort of insider? NO he isn't, he's just making personal assumptions and can't even back them up. Russia won't allow Iran to fall. I'm going to laugh at everyone who foolishly said otherwise when Russia joins in on the fun and their troops start moving toward the mideast. Watch and learn. You will see. Wishing for a bigger war isn't going to make it happen. I can't imagine what most of you would have been posting during WWI and WWII. I am sure most in here would have melted down in the early stages. Every war is the end of the world according to some. You are wrong. Russia is in this to make money. They couldn't care less about Iran. It is all about the money. This particular skirmish with Gaza is typical for Israel. It has happened before and will happen again. Israel knows how to clean house - when she wants to clean house. This is no different and it will not escalate beyond their control. I don't know why people think "this time" will be different. Nobody cares about Gaza. Nobody is going to help them. A wider war will not develop from this event. BAM! right on the money. They are only IN IT for the CASHOLA. ^ same thing with Syria. You know why? because they have investments and defense contracts |
