Turkey will declare the war against Iraq, Iran, Syria, Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Armenia and Russia at the same time!! They have problems with all of them!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1760795

They'd have even bigger problems if the declare war on all of them at once...

An Iranian 150-ton freighter departed Bandar Abbas port Sunday, Nov. 18, with a cargo of 220 short-range missiles and 50 improved long-range Fajar-5 rockets for the Gaza Strip, debkafile’s intelligence sources report. The ship turned toward the Bab al-Mandeb Straits and the Red Sea.

Oh great! New fireworks to celebrate the peaceful intentions of those innocent hamas freedom fighters on their way to that fundamentalist hellhole called Gaza. Wonderful news!

Al Quds Brigades:
Surprise shortly
 Quoting: tarfonwxx

didn't they say that days before?!
 Quoting: Ger_reG

They did, yes.

As a sidenote: One does not announce surprises. Announcing it contradicts and ridicules the meaning of "surprise". Barbaric people down there, obviously. No civilization, no gin, no culture, no manners, no style, nothing of the sort, quite dull an experience to watch those peasant fanatics rumble about.

lol, now the jihad is saying they believe a ceasefire will be reached within 24 hours

Thought i heard something about a 38 hour ultimatum? Can anyone confirm this?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26206541

There were some rumours on the web (mostly Twitter) stating that Israel would give Hamas 36 hours to stop firing missiles or otherwise the IDF was ready to go in by ground. But they have been saying that they would increase actions and would go in gaza by ground for days now.

And mostly Palestinian sources are telling that there might still be some hope for a cease-fire, but that rumour also has been going around the web for days now.

All official sources were reporting that talks in Egypt (Cairo) have failed because of demands that could not be aggreed on betwen Israel and Hamas.

I seriously doubt that there will be any solution this time. This all just started out at a to perfect moment in time for some of the people that pull the strings from behind the scenes.
 Quoting: Baphomet 27374765

I doubt any ceasefire would be beneficial to either side. Hamas has had several of its leaders taken out, if they quit, they lose face. Especially since they feel Egypt/Russia have their backs in this. Israel on the other hand would probably feel that if they dont finish the task and make a ceasefire its probably going to be a recurring problem. Cast Lead in 2009 brought no improvement. They know that as much as we do.

Besides, any ceasefire/truce terms would very likely include the lift of the Gaza blockade. Something Israel would never, ever agree to at this point. 2 "wars" in a timespan of less than 4 years did nothing to improve relationships or trust between the two sides.

That and we have the influence of coming Israeli elections at play here. If the Israeli people feel the job isnt finished and southern israel remains in danger, they will blame the current administration for not finishing the job.

All of this leads me to conclude that i dont see any chance of hostilities ending any time soon. If it does, it will be fragile at best, and just delaying the inevitable.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26206541

I must agree with you on the fact that we will probably see no ceasefire whatsoever. And I think we can agree on the fact that we will see a fast escalation of the ongoing situation in Israel and maybe even in the whole wide region over there.

It will not only escalate there, but this could have tremendous impact on most of our lives. Because with all of this Middle-East doom around the corner there will come lots more doom. Things will turn into a pretty shitty situation really fast. And most of the people will not even notice what is going on at the moment that all this doom will take place in their lives that seem to be so quiet and nice at this point in time.

It will spread out all over the world real fast, like a nasty un-curable disease that will get most of the people sick really really quick. And before they know they have it, it will be already over for them.

You get what I am trying to point out here? Yes, I think you do. I somehow think we are on one line here on this one.

Re: "Pillar of Defense (Cloud)" - Israel & Hamas Agree to Gaza Cease Fire
About 10 months after the last Israeli forces left Gaza as part of January 2009′s Operation Cast Lead, some Israeli military intelligence officials met with their American counterparts at the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv. The Israelis said they believed that the invasion had accomplished one of its primary goals, which was to reduce Hamas’s arsenal of the rockets and mortars it fires into Israel, as well as the group’s ability to produce more such weapons. But they added, according to a State Department cable later released by Wikileaks, that Hamas was already rebuilding, and that smuggling into Hamas was continuing. The writing was on the wall: Invasion had been a temporary solution.

Just a few hours before an Israeli airstrike on Wednesday killed senior Hamas military commander Ahmed Jabari and set off a new round of fighting that analysts fear could potentially spiral into another ground war, Jabari received the draft of an Israeli-Hamas peace agreement. Though we don’t know if he carried the draft in his hands when the drone-launched missile slammed into his car, killing him and his son, the irony would have been appropriate. The tool of war and the tool of peace coming together, the one obliterating the other.

times running out bibi, go in and clean them out, reoccupy before the others get involved. Your going to be left on your own to fight off Egypt, Syria, Hezbollah and Iran all at once so you had better get rid of the rags in Gaza quickly .

what frighten me is the 75000 reservists call-up, I know it could be precaution, but it creates major problems on economy, logistic etc.....I don't think is a normal thing unless you know something big is coming....

could Israel know already about Hezbollah intervention when they invade?
