Why switch to Dutch? We are here on an international forum, so I would prefer to keep our communication in a language that is common to everybody, so everybody can see what we are discussing here. But to give you an answer on your question (which translates into English like: "That is not true dude! What are you talking about? The Netherlands needs to stay neutral on this. let them kill each other!"). Here is your answer: I did not say they are in combat or war mode already, but you can bet on this one if you like, but you will seriously loose that bet my friend! The Dutch will get involved when Israel or the US asks them to. But on the other hand you might as well ask your self if it aren't the old colonial powers that are on the thrones in Western Europe that still rule the world and command the Unite States into any kind of situation they have got up their sleeves for the rest of the world. Do not forget the power of the old colonial powers like Great Britain, The Netherlands, Spain, etc. Jahbulonian Pride! |

Museums full of ancient history. Fabulous art and literature. I wish I had the money to go see the ancient site of Babylon in Iraq too. That would be cool. Most of the architecture and science has been stolen by Muslim from the countries they invaded. There was culture in these places before Islam. That ancient history is still there and preserved. Eireann~ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20 |

It had to alter to become less patriarchal and more about promoting wider social freedom, hence women being allowed to vote etc. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28135745 Islam has never had to undergo such a change. It's an anachronism in the 21st century, mainly followed by poor uneducated people who are easily led, and possibly pissed off with the West for exploiting them. Personally, I'd ban the practice of Islam if I ran a country, and deport any devotees to Saudi where they can live as they please. Well said! |

Quoting: Cons 28196357 These are stats from 2006 where Palestine hold Free elections: Final results show that Hamas won the election, with 74 seats to the ruling-Fatah's 45, providing Hamas with the majority of the 132 available seats and the ability to form a majority government on their own. Of the Electoral Lists, Hamas received 44.45% and Fatah 41.43%[1] and of the Electoral Districts, Hamas party candidates received 41.73% and Fatah party candidates received 36.96%. [link to en.wikipedia.org] Now, stats might have changed since 2006 we do not know exactly but what we know for sure is that Hamas won the elections and were not allowed to rule. That's one of the reason they "forcefully" took over Gaza strip. Its politics and long story. You have plenty of info on the net if you interested on that subject. they rule through fear Hamas–Fatah conflict Human Rights Watch estimates several hundred Gazans were "maimed" and tortured in the aftermath of the Gaza War. 73 Gazan men accused of "collaborating" had their arms and legs broken by "unidentified perpetrators" and 18 Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel, who had escaped from Gaza's main prison compound after Israel bombed the facility, were executed by Hamas security officials in the first days of the conflict.[136][137] Hamas security forces reportedly shot and tortured Palestinians who opposed Hamas rule in Gaza and openly supported Israel's attack. One victim, recovering from multiple gunshot wounds in the leg, told Human Rights Watch he was "so happy they bombed that I was giving out sweets."[136] In another case, a Palestinian had criticized Hamas in a conversation on the street with some friends. Later that day, more than a dozen armed men with black masks and red kaffiyeh took the man from his home, and brought him to a solitary area where they shot him three times in the lower legs and ankles. The man told Human Rights Watch that he was not politically active.[136] Hamas security forces attacked hundreds Fatah officials who supported Israel. Human Rights Watch interviewed one such person: "There were eight of us sitting there. We were all from Fatah. Then three masked militants broke in. They were dressed in brown camouflage military uniforms; they all had guns. They pointed their guns at us and cursed us, then they began beating us with iron rods, including a 10-year-old boy whom they hit in the face. They said we were "collaborators" and "unfaithful." They beat me with iron sticks and gun butts for 15 minutes. They were yelling: "You are happy that Israel is bombing us!" until people came out of their houses, and they withdrew.[136] [link to en.wikipedia.org] Thx for sharing that. Was laying in bed this morning feeling quite comfortable and thinking of the poor people in the ME and how frightened they must be to close their eyes for fear of a rocket exploding. Then I wondered why don't the "peaceful" people rise up against hamas.. apparently that isn't going to work. Now you understand. People will never rise against Hamas as it is legitimate ruler of Palestine territory. You can also have a look at the image bellow (green Hamas, red Fatah) and see clearly that Hamas has overwhelming support even in the West-Bank. [link to upload.wikimedia.org] Cheers Palastinians will have the right to apply to court and eventually be able to hold Israel accountable for war crimes. wouldn't that just shit the crowd. |

Quoting: recollector To bad that they have no power whatsoever and are used by Hamas as human shields and propagabda bodies (dead preferabily). Yeah...BUT Hamas was democratically elected in Gaza so they practically did this to themselves ! It is very sad what is happening to civilians in Gaza but they knew Hamas was a terrorist organization when they elected them and now they suffer the consequences...unfortunately ! Opps... Kinda like us in the U.S. Our last election, 2 weeks ago here in the USA, was stolen by fraudulent counting, there was plenty of evidence right here on GLP. |

Which leaves Israel with few options in an international community who likes to talk pretty. |

Personally I find Islam, especially its history absolutely fascinating, and I have nothing against the people who practice it, apart from when it gets towards Sharia law and such and gets into that fundamentalist current (just like any religious fundamentalism). I am against multiculturalism as a whole (especially in the UK), I see it as a failed experiment and something that needs fixing. I honestly believe that Islam will never find a place in British society, it's pretty much the antithesis of British social codes. |
