I am surprised Netanyahu backed down. I didn't think he would after the history those two have together. I thought it was Netanyahu's moment to shove it up his ass.
Instead, for some reason, Netanyahu bent over with no resistance.

The iron dome was developed in Israel, not the US. Secondly, Obama did not stop anything. Netanyahu is a big boy, and does not need to take orders from an American president. Israel will defend itself when it sees fit. There's nothing else that's 'up' its pretty straightforward. If Hamas starts more rocket attacks Israel will resume its campaign, end of story. I agree with you "If Hamas starts more rocket attacks, Israel will resume it's campaign" - that is for certain, however, I feel there's more to it that just that - a bigger event, and that will just be the trigger event to make it more widespread.
