My informations is that repair not complete in 48 hours. This is contracted hours but nature of damage to infrastructure causing collapse by roadworks mean much longer time required.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11326620

Houston to take control of ISS. Cables were running through sewers collapsed by highway maintenance. Will take 48 hours just to examine the extent of the damage. Much talk in Russia of why no redundancy for critical infrastructure that could compromise the ISS.

Watch China's communications the NWO might be ready for a sneak attack..They could be testing the vulnerability's of these country's..something is up..Israel is going to strike soon and so it begins..I feel this was done on purpose as to see the out come of this disruption..The world in the very near future will not be able to care for all the people.. They know that china wants most of the world for it people..They will strike at the heart of Both country's.
The an sewer that Russia gave is false. If it was that easy to disrupt their communications then they are in big trouble..Right after Israel gave the world notice this happens...

I'm probably using the wrong terminology for this... but there is a site that detects incoming meteors, trash and whatever else. At work right now, can’t look it up.

FOr those of you interested in the monitoring of meteor data...I emailed the people who run the site and asked them what I was seeing and to explain it. They sent me this reply:

"This is the direct signal from our Radar Source in France, caused by Tropospheric Propagation.

Not to be confused with "Sporadic E" which is generally a summer phenomenon and occurs 60 miles up in the Ionospheric E-layer, Tropospheric Propagation ("Tropo" or "Ducting" for short) is caused by temperature inversion low down in Earth's atmosphere. Where warmer and colder layers meet, a "duct" will be formed where radio waves (typically VHF and UHF) are "piped" along the duct where they escape many hundreds - or thousands - of miles away. Foggy conditions (which are also caused by temperature inversion) are often a good indication of this happening.

When our operators see this on their respective screens they can often pick up FM broadcasts from Froggie stations 88-108MHz (mostly 100-108MHz).

At Sidmouth and along the South Coast UK we get it this strong about 8 to 10 occurrences a year, each lasting typically 2 to 3 days. In these circumstances, South Coast UK Radio Amateurs would be able to make VHF/UHF contact with Froggie Radio Amateurs. I've attached an image from Sidmouth at 18:50 this evening (Wed). When we see this on our screens, we are receiving the direct radio wave from the G-R-A-V-E-S Radar in France."

They also sent me this link to a multiscreen monitor. Here it is:

Yes, I get it. It basically means that they are catching a radio broadcast from far away. Which is what I said originally. They add that when low air is colder than the air above, it acts like a mirror that can make signals "heard" from much farther away. Here in N.. Utah, when the weather is right, we can sometimes listen to Mexican radio stations (that are actually from Mexico).

Apparently the cable was broken two years ago and it was considered sabotage. Todays fault is less than 24 hours after Russia launched their latest military communications satellite. It is expected to take days to fix.

Does this mean those on the space station cannot relate any "unapproved" information some eavesdropper might not understand?

Can't they just use the US connections? I assume they are still OK as we have not been told otherwise.
