IRS Wants Me to Pay $4,730 a Month. What should I tell them?
In my attempts to make things right in my life by being on the up and up with my Shepherds (AKA the US Federal Government), I have been paying my current taxes and also have filed all my previous missed tax returns.

Fast forward to now. A short little chubby IRS agent lady came to my door saying she was just in the neighborhood which I know was a big fat lie. In any event, she has been on my wife and I like white on rice and wants my wife and I to pay the IRS 50% of our income which is $4,730 a Month to pay our back taxes.

I have no problem making payments, but basically this bitch wants my family and I to suffer and live like in poverty until they are paid. Of course I AM not liking her, her proposal or any of it and this goes along the lines of Socialism where our country is at now.

Punish success (making money and a successful business) and reward laziness and dumbness (no job and live on welfare).

You see, if I was not a success, they wouldn't come after me and in addition, I would not have to pay shit in back taxes because I would be collecting welfare and unemployment. What this tells me is that this is the future of our world and that I better get used to this shit. But in the same breathe, I AM not going to allow the lazy or unintelligent just sit on their ass and collect a check.

With Obama, taxes are going up even more and then we have health care on top of it.

In any event, what would you do if you were me and the IRS wanted 50% of your income to pay our back taxes? Is there a better way to deal with this other than bankruptcy?
Regards,

Moe

Get them to agree in writing to a 50% docking of YOUR pay, but not your wife's, for a period that slightly exceeds the payment period they propose. So, 50% of of your pay for, say, 20 years.

Then, quit your job.

Problem solved.

check with those companies that settle for pennies on the dollar, or see a tax attorney. my sister had her attorney do a one time settlement for freakin pennies on her back taxes. seems like it was around 1/10 of what she owed. but state wouldn't budge.

Re: IRS Wants Me to Pay $4,730 a Month. What should I tell them?
another thing....you should STOP TALKING to them....whatever you are going to do, you need to rely on yourself and professionals advice that YOU obtain.

The lady you are talking to is not your friend..she has no intention, no matter how kind she may sound, in doing anything other than maximizing their return. Her SOLE purpose is in getting you to disclose information to HER, the debt collector.

Stay away from the "pennies on the dollar" scams in settling your IRS claims.

Depending on where you live a good tax ATTORNEY will resolve this for about $5 or $6k in fees......

When I say "Resolve" I mean work out a real agreement that benefits you the most.

The problem it sounds as if you face though is income. If they are demanding that much it sounds as if you are a high wage earner...not a good place to be in with them in dealing with back taxes.....good luck

so, you withheld your taxes for years, and now you're claiming that somehow you are "a successful businessman"?? you're a tax cheat. they could be tossing your ass in jail, and selling off ALL your assets. going bankrupt won't do you any good, the court will toss it. "i owe uncle sam a ton and want to dodge having to pay it back" isn't a just cause for bankruptcy. i know a cat who worked 3 jobs for 20 years to pay off uncle to avoid being jailed over taxes. 7 day weeks, minimum 12 hour days. he was actually grateful, because he kept his house, and didnt end up in a fed prison. understand, im not trying to abuse you, im just trying to show you the reality of your situation. you willingly, knowingly, and premeditatedly committed a felony. no ands, ifs, or buts about it. sure, the payment plan is draconian. would you prefer a felony conviction? no more firearms, no more vote, as well as completely losing that standard of living you value so much. parole after 35% of the sentence, having to ask permission of a PO to get a drivers license. absolute no questions asked banning from holding all kinds of professional licenses. try to negotiate a lesser payment, but rest assured you're gonna be coughing up 33% AT LEAST. that's how it works. but even if you get no reduction, it's better than being incarcerated, and STILL OWING THE DOUGH.

Get over yourself..you don't go to jail for not paying taxes.....only for willfully failing to file...he has filed...nobody is going to jail.

and you are wrong, taxes, even FED taxes are in fact, are eligible for discharge in bankruptcy, it all depends on how old they are....

Ignore her.

Call the IRS collections deprtment yourself and voluntarily set up a $100 per month payment plan.

They are obliged by law to take your offer and cease collection activities as long as you keep up the payments.

I just said no and stopped paying my monthly installment agreement(which i should have never started) in 2004, by the time the garnished my wages, almost lost job over) i only had to pay about 1/3 what i owed, they could only collect from 7 years back.

or
only pay 2007, 2008, 2009

or make a one time cash offer. about25% of total (2007, 2008, 2009) that is working for people

Well, the problem is I live in California which is a community state and even though we were not married until 2009, her income in paying the IRS back is included in all my previous years as well. In addition, we own our own business and they are sending letters to us, the owners to dock our own pay. wtf

Yes, this is true, but I do not qualify for chapter 7 and only a chapter 13 which it would have to be repaid in a similar fashion. Chapter 13 may be a plan because in the end, I can clean up my credit which has affected my leasing, renting and buying power ion all that I do.

Here is the deal with these 'ANONYMOUS' postings and slanderous posting about me on the internet. Yes, I have went to jail and prison for growing and selling marijuana and also a battery case that WAS NOT MY WIFE and all these pictures etc are lies and bogus.

Toughy w/braces

These 'ANONYMOUS' postings with lies and untruths have been posted by loan modification scams companies and mortgage criminals who I have personally went after over the last 5 years while running my forum at www.LoanSafe.org/forum in my attempts to help protect struggling homeowners from becoming victims of these scams.

In doing so, I have become a target of these scammers who post anonymously in weak attempts to destroy my business or reputation. Also, you will NOT find 1 Better Business Bureau complaint, police or actual real complaints about my business anywhere other than a few 'ANONYMOUS' postings on 'ANONYMOUS' websites. The facts are anyone can say whatever they want and people will either choose to believe it or not. In the end, I don't care because the people who believe 'ANONYMOUS' postings from 'ANONYMOUS' websites are ignorant humans who I do not wish to associate with or do business with.
