My point is atheist's are promoting a survival of the fittest society, that is fact according to Darwinism. So if that's true than we should indeed do what we need to become "the king of the jungle" right? The fact that you don't want to do that and would rather respect each other is telling of what your true beliefs and feelings really are. So I ask why do you put your beliefs in a system that promotes lawlessness and anarchy?

The American Humanist Association (AHA), a group that seeks to create “a progressive society where being good without gods” is widely accepted, has launched a new outreach web site called KidsWithoutGod.com.

According to a press release put out by the organization, the project’s key intention is to attract “humanist, atheist and other non-traditionally religious kids” so that they can find information that is not colored by “supernaturalism.”

in evolution survival of the fittest can be the underdogs that get to be the fittest. smaller can be better, if they are a better fit for the environment that would = survival of the fittest. fittest does not mean strongest or fastest.

Humans are more intelligent than animals. We are capable of teaching children to behave properly without the Bible. If you use the Bible to teach your children and they believe, that's great. If you teach your children to behave properly and don't use the Bible, that's fine as well. I know plenty of people raised without religion in their home that are fine human beings.

Amen, I used to be on that road. Sure did give me the ability to keep doing what I knew was not right. Almost no atheist will admit it, but they are atheist because they don't want to admit to themselves they know they could be living a better life. They are addicted to something that brings them down instead of lifting them up. So they make up this story and invest blind faith in no creator and then say the proof is: then they just say the word religion.

In my opinion, you are entitled to feel that way. I feel sorry you feel that way and hope one day you will see the light. But that is YOUR CHOICE. Perhaps if you didn't predicate atheism as the path to critical thinking, and imply that Being Christian negated the ability to think critically, we wouldn't have had this discussion. That's not what atheism promotes. Atheism promotes NOTHING, that's the idea. We're free to of ourselves. That doesn't mean we're 'supposed' to be violent or anything. Like I said, if that's ho you feel, that's your problem. Not everyone feels that way, and I can assure you that, just as easily as a religion can make a society, atheists can come together and create one. It's as simple as 'treat others as you want to be treated'. I don't need a book to tell me that, because it's just common sense.
