But what you apparently don't know is that Hitler raised the SS, a group distinct from the wehrmacht (regular german armed forces). The SS had separate command,logistics,training. The Waffen SS were the armed SS. They functioned as elite fighting units. The other branch of the SS were the concentration/death camp guards. The point here is that what obama is doing looks very much like what happened with the SS. A military/para military force outside of and independent of the regular American armed forces, answerable only to obama and loyal to obama personally. I worked a little with FEMA to get my certs so that I know where I'm supposed to go in the event I am needed. As I said in another thread it is very organized and I truly could not take comfort in knowing that if I do show up to help as a first responder I CANNOT help someone immediately. Only after I have reported to the command leader and received my orders can I begin to help. If I saw a person in need of immediate help, my heart would make me help. FEMA doesnt have a bunch of first responders to help during emergencies. They have a lot of commanders. Someone else was correct in saying that this is what the national guard and local authorities are for. Not to mention the communities themselves coming together to help. But it suddenly made sense to me as to why they were not allowing for more donations from the community. It doesn't fit in with the organized protocol. I am simply astounded by this whole idea of having a personal military force for emergency purposes. Coming together as communities to help our fellow human should be encouraged, organized or not.
