So if you have given up pay twice and the company wants you to give up pay a third time. Even though the higher ups have given up nothing you are a "THUG".

Union workers are contracted employees. Say yes or say no to the contract. How can that be that hard.

My contract allows for atleast someone to say something when double standards are implemeted because of my race or my gender. I work alot of 16 hour days. My friends work those and holidays. We have a contract to protect the working conditions and the amount of pay we recieve. I've been in manufacturing for 13 years. There's always someone looking to push the limits of myself and my family. My contract helps me to be protected.

There's alot of people drinking the Koolaid on Unions and their contracts. Remember the people telling you alot of this stuff they themselves work on a contract.
I've read some of Rush Limbaugh's books, but even he has a contract am I right? (no offense Rush luvya!)

Yes, the union and their demands are why they are where they were.

Instead of cutting things back because of the economy, Hostess was made to pay the demands set back years ago when the economy was better and there wasn't a war against obese people.


Now their profits have shrunk to the point where they cannot survive nor pay the pensions. Businesses need to be able to breathe with the economy. Unions make it so they have to pay whether the company is profitable or not.

Best thing to do is like mentioned above. Close and re-open without a union and put the people that want to work back to work.

Worked on a large expansion project with a small company in the NE recently. Long term. Two years in a row the Union Electrical foreman made more than the owners of the company.
I'm a non-union engineer and I can tell you flat out myself and the owners of the company were there non-stop for essentially the duration.
The Union foreman and his guys, not so much.

Then add all the other fees the Union tacks on to the hourly rate. A total scam to enrich the Union hierarchy and pad their Democratic donation coffers.

...the chemical flavorings, chemical sweeteners, chemical colorings...and GMO raw products they use ARE the problem.

I am so glad I took measures to prepare for what is coming.

Company litmus test:

If the top 1% of people at the company (president, vice presidents and so on) could solve the problem by taking a pay cut, and they don't, then it isn't anyone else's problem, just greedy people at the top playing games.

Even in bankruptcy it's common for the top few to have a staggering portion of the funds under their command, personally.

Hostess Brands is a lot more than Twinkies. It will be a shame to see them go, and a bigger shame to see 18,500 more workers on unemployment. I hope that every union member watches this and remembers that the same thing could happen to them. The unions have become one of the largest drains on the economy, and the Marxist in Chief will probably give millions of tax dollars to the unions to "fix" the problem before a penny of unemployment is spent. Maybe the union members could go to Barry's house for Thankgiving.
