Man, go look for a REAL car dealer like a Ford dealership, the ones here in Texas will take you in and send you to class and put you to work in no time especially if you have any kind of experience. That's how Ford gets their auto repairmen licensed as "Certified".

yeah over here in toronto NOBODY will put you to school. That was in the 90's and early 00's. All the older mechanics told me in the last 5 years " dont become a mechanic, this trade is bullshit, you are overworked and underpaid, and then you are considered a crook because the shop owner decided to rip off the customer". Yeah, andy is a moron, he charges 100$ per hour and 129$ for electrical & diagnostics.... isn't it fucking funny that his apprentice who has the lowest wage does the electrical and diagnostics the best and he makes the most of it?

anyways, today i went to pick up my paycheck off 1500$ after taxes and another severence pay off $1200. So i got some cash for the next 2 weeks plus im going to file E.I and start looking for a next job. But yeah, mobile mechanic sound sweeet! .. i need to buy a scanner for that though, a good one runs for $2000-$3000 though.

He was a mechanic for Carter Catipillar, and was about to get a raise when the boss found out my brother had a piece of industrial land and intended to open his own shop one day.
