It's actually super American. The signers of these petitions are citizens that remember what this formerly great country was actually founded on and would like to see it return to glory. Supporting the deportation of these Americans makes you a) stupid b) a communist. |

We would, at times as needed, bind together temporarily (being attacked, neighboring states during a crisis, etc). NOT become the leviathon that we are today. So, for a state to leave is actually the way it should be. Correction....there really should be nothing for a state to have to "leave" as it is it's own gub'mit. Framers of the constitution wanted power to be on the Local level (counties, townships, boroughs, etc) with the Fed only having the power to maintain a navy (military) and a couple other enumerated privileges as not to even remotely be able to overpower the people. AND, for the folks who live in a state who don't want to leave the leviathon, you are welcome to move to another state, just as you are free to choose Coke vs Pepsi, Burger King vs McDonalds etc Just my thoughts Last Edited by Booted and Suited on 11/15/2012 08:23 PM Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance |

So many desperately wanting to be American under our laws and "rights" at the same time so many current Americans are bitching and wanting out. What's wrong with that picture? There will never be World Peace nor mass contentedness. |

This is what the original Enumerated Powers were supposed to prevent, massive federal overreach, so that citizens could "vote with their feet" and move to states that best matched their sensibilities. However, we now have a system where virtually everything is pounded down on all of us from one central authority in Washington. |
