Watching major spikes on the detector. Not familiar with it so i'm unsure if these are normal.

When it goes white that means one has burned up in the atmosphere right?

It's not normal.

You may get ONE on the graph, maybe 2 or 3 if it's really active.

Are there any known asteroids or comets which would account for this? Or are we seeing the start of Leonid's barrage?

Probably just some ballistic missles flying around somewhere, which register on their equipment as meteors. Business as usual...

WTF?? I mean REALLY!! This has to be some kind of glitch, or break up in the signal. This looks absolutely crazy. I have never seen it like this. Even during the "meteor showers". Where would this be happening? I mean surely something doing this much activity is showing up in the skies somewhere. Where's the astronomers on here?

Could be true. With all that's going on in Israel right now these could be missiles.

From my understanding yes, because they detect them by bouncing radiowaves off of ionized air, caused when the meteor burns up in the atmosphere.

There weren't supposed to be any problems in the Orionids shower and we were dodging them left and right. I've never seen that many actually make it through to the ground.

I'm thinking it must be some sort of error. But it IS still moving. If you watch it, the position of the spike changes and the base also fluctuates. It's weird.

Someone mentioned a missile? I wonder if it would look like that?

Just saw what looked like a confirmed hit on the detector, based off their instructions for what a strike actually looks like. Typical triangular form.

Ok wait so each one of these spikes is a separate meteor in itself?
