Here are some articles that I read today that you may like.

“A judge has denied the temporary release of a convicted medical marijuana provider who faces a possible 92-year prison sentence.”

“The Montana Supreme Court could be left sorting out which profane words are OK to hurl at someone as it weighs the case of a man who argues a sexual slur he used against a public employee is constitutionally protected speech.”

Read more: [link to billingsgazette.com]

Thread: Man challenges Montana law banning offensive speech

“There’s been quite a stink over farting, belching farm animals ruining the planet, and Professor Frank Mitloehner wants to clear the air. Mitloehner, an air-quality specialist at the University of California-Davis has been on a one-man mission debunking misconceptions about livestock and climate change.”

Read more: [link to billingsgazette.com]

Climate Change . . . fact, or fiction? It's one of the most vigorously debated questions of our time, given more urgency in the eyes of many by the destruction wrought by superstorm Sandy…And what about polar bears? They're dying because of global warming, no?

"No," said Muller. "There's no good scientific evidence for that. There's a problem in that some people, whenever they see something they don't like, they attribute it to global warming - whether it's the death of the frogs, or the demise of the corals in the Pacific Ocean. But that's kind of cherry-picking, where they're simply saying, 'If it's bad, it must be global warming.'"

“Cryptozoology is a word many (if not most) of us have never seen before. Sort of like the legendary creatures cryptozoologists devote their lives to tracking down. Our Serena Altschul has joined the hunt:

In Jefferson, Texas recently, a group of like-minded (or should we say, like-obsessed) people gathered to swap stories of strange sightings ... mysterious animals and elusive creatures lurking in the deep woods.”
[link to www.ktvq.com]

“Between 1969 and 1993, all 11 justices confirmed to the Supreme Court were named by Republican presidents. Now the re-election of President Barack Obama promises to continue reshifting the balance of federal courts toward a more progressive stage, a legacy of judicial power that may be felt for decades.”

Were people more evil in the 1700's?

no more...no less. People simply didn't have the communication methods that we have now and many things went unreported. I don't believe that many of the things we've been told have increased over the years have actually changed that much. There may be more crime or whatever as far as totals go year over year but this method of statistics leaves out the factor that population has also increased during that year. If you were to compare the actual percentage per capita I think you'd find many things have decreased. The other thing that skews the statistics as far as things getting worse or increasing is that we didn't have the standards and measures that we have now. So we are detecting and recording and reporting more diseases, crimes, tragedies than ever before, however that doesn't mean these things are occurring in greater frequency, it simply means we notice it more now.

This I agree with. With technology, "news" gets from one side of the world to the other instantly, so it is hard to measure an increase in events. But on the other hand, folks are noticing changes in weather & increases in things in their own area, especially the "old timers" (for lack of a better phrase) many who do not have computers or computer access. Folks who are in their own little piece of the world are commenting on the strange weather, the change in people, the feeling that something is just not right. In my area and in my experience, folks who have always laughed at me and picked on me for talking of being prepared (for the end of the world-again, for lack of a better phrase) are now stocking up and nodding their heads in agreement simply by noticing a change in our local weather & news. THAT, to me, is far more telling than all of the threads on GLP put together.

I agree, there are many things that are getting more severe, weather especially. I've noticed it in my area. I live in Montana and last winter we only had 1 snow storm and what snow we did get from that storm was gone within a day. And so far this winter we haven't had any snow except for a light dusting that stuck around a day or two. This doesn't apply to the entire state. Some areas are still having relatively normal seasons.

The problem is though, all the things that matter, like the weather oddities we are talking about here, do not get reported in the media like they should. What gets reported is biased and for the most part doesn't matter in the bigger scheme of things. The media has turned into nothing more than a fear-mongering propaganda machine. They want you to be so scared of your neighbor, to the point that a person is afraid to go outside...but they won't bring up the subject of changing weather, earthquakes, or all the animal die-off's, among others...

yea, the starfish is one of the links i provided. As for the news broadcasts, I agree that they seem to fear monger some things, and then it's all rainbows and butterflies, but the oddities get left out. MSM has more about celebrities, cute animals, food & other non-sense, but nothing about the sinkhole, nothing about the explosions in indiana, nothing about the weather anomolies, nothing about quakes happening across the US in rare locations, nothing about the multiple animal die offs that are happening and have happened just this week! Butterflies and Rainbows, and what the Kardashians are wearing today! All of the things we need to know to stay in a sheeple sheep state of mind. And have you noticed, that as soon as a news reporter steps out of that box and tries to raise questions about the why and what's going on, they are instantly quashed and THEN it hits the MSM as the "all is well and scientists say it's this normal thing"
If a person were to read the bible, or the prophesies of any of the other cultures that speak of the "end times" and then walk out their own door and mark off the signs as they see them in ONLY their area, they would find that many are upon us. And they seem to be happening just like the turn of a page in the books, a checklist to mark off and follow.
I too have read “The Harbinger” and there is much truth to be learned in the book.

Had a random thought pop in to my head this afternoon and just had to write it down. I think there is something for everyone in this story…enjoy!

He is going to rise to power from the US. He will take over as president of the world via Europe. Europe Union will decide to hold an election for a new president of Europe. The US president will be nominated for the position and will win the election by an overwhelming majority. He will accept this new role and will not step down from his current role as US President. He will invoke martial law to control his non-supporters. His supporters will rejoice at the new laws as they will align with their skewed/manipulated/indoctrinated perspectives. He will do the same for Europe.

His second in command (it will appear as though they are enemies at first) will rise to power in Russia. The man from Russia will align with those that wish to annihilate Israel.

He will intercede and call for a peace treaty amongst all who are fighting. This treaty will be accepted, again by an overwhelming majority. Major conditions of the treaty will be that he is president of all the countries that signed the treaty and the man from Russia will be his vice president.

He will then ascend to his throne in Israel and begin the rebuilding process. There will be peace for a short period, rebuilding will not be complete and the world will be at war again…for the last time

You are the only one who has voiced what I have been feeling for a long time.

When Obama first ran for the office and won I thought that was odd in a country that seemed to only accept a candidate who's name was in the news for at least one run previously. He not only didn't have experience but he was unknown.

My intuition has been strong about him. I believe he is the antichrist and he is getting ready to head up the world. He is now underway. I have not been able to stop being suspicious of him even when I see him cry.

Completely agree, there has been way too much coincidence with what has been in prophecy throughout history and the masses are completely blind (as was foretold). Perception is reality and unless someone is willing to change their perspective they will continue to be blind.

The Harbinger was a great read and some others I've read you may enjoy as well:

The Left Behind series (more for the theory on the AC's rise to power than the rapture)

ET 101 - Entertaining read and gives you a different perspective on the events that are occurring.

Botany of Desire - good read on our human desires for control, beauty, and intoxication.

Life of Pi - gives you a different perspective on three major religions (Christianity, Hinduism, Islam) and how ultimately they are all trying to achieve the same thing.

The book I am currently reading is "The Secret History of the World" by Mark Booth. It's a very interesting read that brings together all cultures/religions from the beginning of time and how everything is connected and how our consciousness has changed over time. Which points to the reason as why we translate or interpret ancient events incorrectly much of the time... ultimately missing the bigger message contained within that history.

I completely agree and glad to see someone else has the same idea. I've thought, as you, from the very beginning that he was a very good candidate for the AC simply because of the lack of history in his background and how a majority of people have clamored to him like the blind leading the blind.

He is supposed to come from a foreign land - Could not Hawaii be considered foreign to the continental US, especially when you consider the difference in culture & beliefs? Besides even if you can't consider it a foreign land, his father came from a foreign land which ultimately means his bloodlines are from a foreign land. Where he happened to be born is a technicality.

He is supposed to be loved, admired and followed blindly...well recent events would dictate that he qualifies for that. He got a Nobel Prize for "saying" he was going to do good things, not for actually doing them. The first election really pointed this out and our most recent election confirmed it. Then add in all the love and support for him from around the world...well you get the picture.

At this point I am just sitting back and watching...waiting. I think there will be an assassination attempt and he will be shot in the head. He will survive...when this happens I will know for sure it has begun.

The thought just occurred to me:

Foreign to who?

Found another seismo website on another thread... [link to www.seismo.ethz.ch]

Interesting that this site shows a bunch of larger earthquakes in the last 30 days in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Quakes that haven't shown up on Global Incident or USGS.

Combined with this, buoy 23227 is back up, missing at least 3 days worth of data though.

same thing goes for buoy 23228.

My first spoken word was "why?" and I haven't stopped asking "why?" since. In fact I asked "why?" so much when I was younger, my mother ended up buying books for me and told me to read and find out...my dad's favorite response to me was, "Figure it out."

What was your first word?
Has it molded your personality in the same way as mine?

^^^^^^^^
 Quoting: Jusvistn

I agree, there are many things that are getting more severe, weather especially. I've noticed it big time in my area.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed the cloud seeding in the sky. It is totally out of control--whatever they are doing.

I live in Minnesota and yesterday and today it has been all over the skies. Almost embarrassingly so.

No one questions anything.

The cloud seeding thing - chemtrails - we don't normally have alot of air traffic either, but began noticing tons more planes in the skies a few weeks prior to Sandy. And it has continued off and on since. It was my 11 year old son who brought that to my attention, even he is convinced the planes are "making clouds" and he frequently says that "something doesn't feel right" or "the sky looks wrong". Things like that, and i'm not one to poke my own ideas and suspisions into him. He is incredibly intuitive and has been from the day he was born.

I have also noticed that USGS doesn't seem to have the same data as other sites, and also, USGS doesn't record the same intensity or strength of quakes as other sites. A 6.8 on one site is a 6.4 or lower on USGS, and i've also noticed that there will be data there one minute, and when you go back, it is gone. And on that note, has anyone else noticed how the weather reporters often seem to be confused about some of these storms we've been having? And for all of the record breaking weather and temp events that we've had, that the weather reports have been spewing out all summer long, come back and say that it's not unusual and this year is 3rd in total record breaking events? I don't understand how that can be. Makes me think that someone along the way showed up at their door and told them to stop the hype. And since, you don't hear them talk so much about the record breaking events, though they still keep happening.

Yes I have noticed all of that and it is very concerning. My theory is TPTB do know exactly what's going on but won't say because doing so would cause many other lies/cover-up's to come to light. A few things that come to mind:

God
Aliens
Climate Change Hoax (I'm referring to the human caused and/or thinking we can control it aspect. If we are causing it I don't think it's for the reasons that are stated. I'm not disputing that the climate is changing, I completely believe it is)
Multiple other Prophecy
Pole Shift/Tectonic Plate Break-up

I'm sure you can think of many others.

Random thought...

Has anyone thought about all the dams we've created since the last large EQ hit the West Coast? When there is a really big 9.5+ quake that hits (say Cascadia) what effect, if any, will there be on these dams? If the quake lasts more than a couple minutes (which is very common with subduction quakes) I could see this causing many dams to fail and would create catastrophic flooding in addition to the tsunami. Potentially you would have millions of gallons of water trying to reach the Ocean (all rivers west of the Divide drain into the Pacific) at the same time that a tsunami would be coming in-land.

Now thinking along those lines, what happens if a large quake like that hits China and the Three Gorges Dam fails? That would be an inland tsunami of epic proportions!

The other thing that comes up with this line of thinking is that when all this water is released this would take a massive amount of weight off on a particularly small area of the earth, in turn causing the crust to rebound which could cause even more quakes (same theory as ice sheet rebound in New Madrid seismic zone) in addition to the massive after shocks that would occur after a 9.5+ quake.

The sky is more of a dull whitish haze and never the deep blue it used to be. The cloud deck is lower for cumulus and higher for cirrus, according to some, and it does seem that way to me. This is supposedly due to changing electric properties, i.e. the magnetosphere, and other factors. And I've noticed "chembows" more often; their colors remind me of what you see in a puddle of spilled motor oil.

The sun is much brighter and whiter. It also seems to throw shadows in odd directions for the seasons, and I've been in the same house for almost 20 years. And it seems to get more "halos" lately. In summer it feels much hotter on my skin, and in winter it puts a lot of heat through the windows. The moon just seems to have some odd earth-shadow lines when not full.

Now that you mention it...Yes! That is exactly what I've been noticing. I attributed the "dullness" to all the smoke from wildfires earlier this summer, but that haze didn't clear up completely after the fires went out. Strangely enough, I thought the clouds looked wrong this morning on my drive to work. The thing about the sun being brighter and whiter resonates as well, I had those same exact thoughts the other day on my drive home from work. I thought the color was off, more white than yellow, and for me it seemed as though it was tracking different then it normally does?

This thread is extremely difficult to follow. I think I got the gist of it though.

The 9th element is not Iodine, it's Fluorine. Iodine is the 53rd element. The entire premise of your theory is completely thrown off by that discrepancy alone. However, if you really want to make Iodine work with the number 9, you can get 9 out of the Atomic Weight and Atomic Number, see below:

Atomic number = 53 (5+3=8)
Atomic weight = 126.90447 (rounds to 127, 1+2+7=10 or 1)
10+8=18, 1+8=9

Regardless, I don't believe there was a nuclear war 2000 years ago. We would have found some kind of evidence pointing to that by now. Now if you were to tell me that we had become advanced enough to kill ourselves off with nuclear war say 250,000 years ago I might believe you more, only because there would be no way to prove it did or didn't happen. In fact, with Earth being estimated at 3.5 Billion years old I have a hard time believing this is the first time humans have become this advanced. It is very possible that we were even further advanced then we are now and due to some kind of catastrophe we either left the planet or were wiped out.

Funny that ^ I was just wondering yesterday on my way home from work about the bluish haze that never seams to lift off of the one side of our valley & up the mountain. Even on the clearest hottest days, the one side of the valley, as far as the eye can see (and i'm up on the top of the other mountain so I can see alot) there is always a bluish haze that never seems to clear. It's not like fog, or smoke, I don't know how to explain it, and yet if you drive and look toward my mountain, there isn't a haze. Odd. And I saw a thread yesterday that was talking about the sun being more white and some kind of explaination as to why that is. Have noticed the different color of the sun several times early in the morning taking the kids to school, that it was just blazing a color that seemed unnatural. Again, even my kids noticed this.
The moon hasn't looked right to me for quite some time, and it seems that some of the stars in the sky are alot brighter than they used to be, and some now seem to flicker red when I never noticed that before.

Re: OPEN DISCUSSION ~ Random Thoughts or Ideas...Anything Goes...
Take a look at Google maps /earth, find Hawaii and zoom out so you can see Hawaii and the Bering Sea.

Do you see the sub surface mountain chain & islands that lead from Alaska to Hawaii?
Notice how it takes a sharp turn and goes east?

Now look closer to the Bering Sea, where the Pacific plate goes under the Aleutian Islands and comes to a point. If you look real close you can see a faint remnants of a mountain chain veering back to the northwest, similar to the direction the islands go now.

This intrigued me so I decided to dig deeper. I measured approximate distance between each “turn” and discovered they’re very close in length. Take a look at what I put together below and tell me what you think.

All location coordinates approximate

Northernmost point of chain near Bering Sea – 52 00 00N; 166 00 00E
Point of turn – 33 00 00N; 172 00 00E
Southeastern point of Big Island – 18 30 00N; 155 30 00E

2167 km from Bering Sea to the “turn”
2303 km from the “turn” to the Big Island

[link to www.movable-type.co.uk]
Average distance between “turns” = 2235 km = 223,500,000 cm

Average speed Pacific plate 5 - 10 cm/year
[link to hypertextbook.com]

Interval between “turns”
22.35 Million years @ 10 cm/year
31.93 Million years @ 7 cm/year
44.70 Million years @ 5 cm/year
Average of all figures above = 32,993,333 years

Now ponder this…

34 Million years ago is the start of the Oligocene period…
”The start of the Oligocene is marked by a notable extinction event; the replacement of European fauna with Asian fauna, except for the endemic rodent and marsupial families called the Grande Coupure. The Oligocene-Miocene boundary is not set at an easily identified worldwide event but rather at regional boundaries.”
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

65.5 Million years ago (31.5 million year difference) is the start of Paleocene period…
”The Paleocene Epoch immediately followed the mass extinction event at the end of the Cretaceous, known as the Cretaceous–Paleogene boundary, which marks the demise of non-avian dinosaurs, the giant marine reptiles and much other fauna and flora. The die-off of the dinosaurs left unfilled ecological niches worldwide.”
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

”The Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event was a large-scale mass extinction of animal and plant species in a geologically short period of time, approximately 66 million years ago.”
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

I thought this was intriguing to say the least. I have no idea what caused these “turns.” Could have been pole shifts, asteroid impacts, or super volcanoes…could be a combination…could be none of them…
