Just the big bald white dude and the black dude with dreads trying to be all badass in the commercials with that ridiculous fat trashy bitch and the rest of the circus gang going around getting in the most unreal confrontations should be a red flag of how everything in tv these days is sensationalized to an extreme extent to try and get more views or higher ratings. The camera placement and other cinematographic techniques used in these shows can be crucial if you want to understand how staged they are. Btw I like some reality tv, I'm just saying that this show is completely and utterly retarded, and I'm trying to gauge everyone's opinion to see whether or not there is any hope for humanity left :)

I would not be surprised if the Customers are real.. It's Detroit, Michigan of all places.... Not exactly expecting to see upstanding citizens coming in and demanding money for their junk.

I hate to tell you this, but it's not fake. In fact, it's much worse than what they show on television sometimes. The white, bearded security guard told us that the thing that has changed the most is that the producers egg people on (outside) to be bad asses and stupid for the show. By 2p, idiots are beating the down the door.
The day I spoke with him, he was pretty disgusted with the show and talking resignation. I'm sure he was just having a bad day and not being serious.
They all agreed, the internal family squabbling are absolutely dysfunction, genuine and embarrassing.
The customers are encouraged to act out. Less is making money hand over fist.
I enjoyed spending a morning with them. They gave me a great deal on a ring.

Actually that's the most believable and truly funny. not funny because it's ridiculous and over the top but because it's awkward and embarrassing in a good way. I don't know, I actually like that show a good bit but that's just me.
