I am feeling depressed and bored with things right now. I don't seem to have any motivation and I don't know why

This time of year you may be feeling "cooped up". Tommorow, start fresh and go for an early walk. This will give you alot of extra energy, and needed vitamin D from sunshine. Tonight however, do some meditation. Load up a relaxing song from spotify, or you tube. And clear your mind of anxiety, worry and thought. Just picture yourself bathed in white clean light, with your eyes closed of course. Take full deep breaths, and then think about what good you have in your life. Watch a little less tv, lower the stimulation for a while, it produces restlessness and boredom. Concentrate on the following thoughts, "I am worth it. My life is good. I make a difference to others. My value is found from within, not externally."

Christmas shouldn't be about the date. You can do Christmas any time. This year we celebrated Christmas already in November. Christmas is about family, being together, and having fun, sure and presents too. You can set another date, which ever is convenient for your finances, and have Christmas then.

Believe me, that weighs on my mind too. Figure it this way, at least you will be with the ones you love in a better place if the world does end. It doesn't have to be a sad thing, just a perspective of the situation. I view it this way, do the best you can by having your preps, and if that isn't good enough and I perish with my family, after I have done all that I could do, that it is meant to be. And life will continue in another way, in another place, and another time....

When one door closes, another one opens. Just remember it that way. Keep a cheerful attitude, and don't let this temporary set back get you down. There are a lot of people going through this right now. It might be helpful talking to others going through a similar situation such as unemployment. When seeking employment, do not look at any type of work as "beneath" you. Open yourself to all sorts of possibilities, and search out of your area (your comfort zone)if you need to. Enlist the help of a job recruiter, and seek help with writing a professional resume possibly from an agency who is good with this sort of thing, who can "sell" your best skills to an employer.
