Rather he comes from a dissident family, and is expected to bridge the gap rich-poor that widens in modern Chinese society. As far as the foreign policy is concerned, Japan is not the loved neighbor for either China, Taiwan or Korea, due to WW2 memories. So president Xi will not make it more different than any other in his shoes. There seem to be some national interests red lines for China. I really hope those red lines won't be crossed by any side. |

No one should point fingers until they have a chance to see how he handles the international stage when it comes to politics, international relations, and economics. They must have chosen him because he is qualified. I don't see what the problem is. Qualification has nothing to do with Chinese politics. This Congress was especially contentious, with decrepit old Jiang (or his body double) butting in stir up trouble.
