While a CME certainly can do damage it would not occure at only one transformer, a larger area should be affected then I guess, like having transformers blow all over the country. Also with a CME powerfull enough to blow a transformer other devices susceptible to damage should get trouble. But I'm no expert on CME's, so it's just saying. |
