That song is pretty obvious rip from Enya and Adiemus, with japanese vocals thou.

They're generally put under category of ambient/chill-out/new-age/ethnic/oriental/light classical -categories, because they mix several different genres together.

New Age *possibly*. J-pop most likely. While it does have an ambient feel to it, it's missing the subtely of good new age, it seems to have some lingering pop sound to it.

I think for me the music just isnt standing on its own. You take a group like Deep Forest which uses some of the weirdest "singers" out there, but the music itself is still strong. Compared to someone really high on the new age ladder like Vangelis, who uses very little lyrics.

im a muso too and an aussie,i thought it was crap too, would much rather listen to Robert Johnson.

each to their own but i dont give too much credit to overly produced music like that no matter how"chillaxing" it is to others.I cant stand enya either.just not my thing.I do listen to varied stuff just dont like the song/style in question.
