PETITION: Spur economic growth by offering to buy from Mexico all land from the 22nd parallel northwards

Mr. President, new States could be created, unemployment would fall and extra tax revenue would flow into our Treasury. The purchase cost could be offset by auctioning land to investors. Collateral benefits would be increased economic activity worldwide.

Infrastructure would need to be built and private investors would look forward to developing the land. The stock market would boom and taxes collected would give a surplus vs. deficit. Our returning military could secure the new land. Finally, in the spirit of Ellis Island immigrants, offer U.S Citizenship to any who chose to participate in the building of this new land.

The people of Mexico would have to decide if such an offering was in their interests and this petition, if approved, is limited only to making an offer to Mexico.
