It IS a fact that many businesses were destroyed and damaged from the storm. So, one should expect a spike in unemployment claims.

At the same time, I think the path of the storm may have been steered northward, causing all that damage. So our feral gobmint may have indirectly created the unemployment claim spike.

It is also a FACT that a storm of this magnitude CREATES thousands and thousands of jobs with repairs, clean up, retail sales to replace everything and so forth.

I tend to think it would be a net GAIN in jobs.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

Well, of course we do! The jobs situation is deplorable and only going to get worse barring a miracle.

I just don't buy Obama's administration for why the increase. It's the economy and it's on his watch. I hope this time they counted California and didn't leave it out the way they did before the election to make the results look better.

Unemployment if probably about twice what is being admitted to.

Is that where you are from, cali? Yes a miracle,or if they got a lot of illegal immigrants out, maybe decriminalize marijuana. If we can "supposedly" put a man on the moon, you would think we could find ways to create some jobs for everyone.

The Emperor will just blame it on Romney or Bush. The sad thing is...over 50% of Americans will believe it. The recent election showed how ignorant most of them are.
