You are forgetting that nuclear pakistan would most likely get involved, and if that happened their neighbor India would get involved....possibly dragging China into a war (although if China is smart, they would wait the whole thing out). Russia on the other hand, probably would get involved one way or another.

Of course most of Africa is now islamized, and well, I guess that continent is in a state of perpetual war, but they still would be angrier than normal.

Unlike amateur people here I actually am on a draft board. There are no plans to produce a draft up to 40. Even in conditions of war, they want 19 to 23 year olds.
The person who mentioned something about education and STEM is a bull-bleeper. NO education situation will allow you to avoid participation unless you are studying to be a Pastor,Priest or Rabbi, with credentials that you are already active in a significant congregation.
Please, let's get facts here. By the way, there are NO plans to re-instate the draft. (and no budget for any draft system to operate right now)

I'm ready to serve my country in whatever capacity is needed. I have have mixed feelings about conscription but I generally support the idea. I have an advanced degree in physics, so I will be able to choose my mission, but if there is a major war and its necessary I will be joining right up. I will probably do what my grandfather did, in that he got a degree in physics and then went straight into the navy in '36 because he knew shit was going down and he knew the navy needed people like that. I feel this way now, I don't agree with the military or everything our country does, but I have a sneaking suspicion they're going to need all the help they can get.

19 year old GLP'r here. I am aware my age group would be the first ones to get drafted and I have to say fuck them. Unless we are legitimately getting invaded in this "coming war", I'm going to tell them to fuck off. We've been at war for more than half of my life. Its about damn time that we end them.
