Most American men under 40 will be drafted for the coming war

from what I'm seeing in the country now, that might actually HELP society.

There will be a draft on a massive scale. There will eventually be nukes.

The draft won't work until Vietnam war age men/women are dead. They lived through a draft. They saw friends and family die. That shit won't fly.

Fighting in defense of your country, and fighting in defense of another country are two completely different things.

I'd support a draft for a war to defend your own country from invasion. (although such a thing should never be necessary)

But who would want to be forced to go overseas and fight to defend a foreign power? That should be a voluntary military, comprised of those who are willing to volunteer to take the fight to the ends of the earth on the whim of their politicians.

Not just a volunteer military, but they should ask for volunteers from within the military to go to these foreign wars, because many people signed up with a desire to defend the USA, not to go fight wars overseas. It's just an unfortunate reality that it must be done under the current political environment.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

I'm over 50, and have no kids, but I follow this closely as a student of history European and American

All you have to do is look not at the beginnings of wars...that's the easy part, but at the middle and drawn out parts of the war

that's when they start drafting the immigrants, the 50-70 year olds, the boys under 20...

thats when everything that can still walk erect gets thrown into the meat grinder

trust me, I am no fan of the idiocy called prolonged ground warfare, but it has existed for the entirety of recorded human history...why are we so bold to think that it has vanished today...this little blip on the timeline of man's inhumanity to man

that said, I am a hawk for legitimate self defense...if my country were invaded, if my neighbors were at risk, I would volunteer if I could crawl

but that doesn't stop me from thinking that somewhere, someplace, there is a more advanced race looking at us as if we are a dangerous species of bug

I truly hope it does not come down to another "real" war...but somehow I suspect there is a greater game plan unfolding.

But the USMC likes flat heads...

It makes their flat-top haircuts easier to cut.

Yes, U.S. citizens fight for those that have no allegiance to this country or its Constitution. No one benefits from it except banksters, corruptorations, elites and the U.N.

And does anyone else find it strange that we are escalating into war so quickly right after the purging of so many top military personnel? Were the ones purged against Israel forcing us into a war? The timing just seems strange to me to not be related. What other reasons could it have been for? Anyone have any ideas about this?

Oh that I wish that that were true

I have a much older sibling (10+ years) , real baby boomer, and I can say from my interactinons with many of those folks is that they seem to have forgotten all the things which once lit their passions

I guess it happens with everyone, but I wouldn't hold out hope for the boomers to save you

In 2002, I thought for sure that Americans never would put up with the intrusions, the humiliations inflicted on us by the TSA...I personally stopped flying - breaking my vow only once for my mother's funeral -

however, as you can see, MILLIONS of our fellow countrymen put up with ever increasing levels of intrusions, harassments and indignities, and almost none make a sound of protest

so even though I have faith in human nature, and I am waiting to be pleasantly surprised...so far, what I see is that people are becoming numb and increasingly willing to relinquish any shred of privacy and dignity in the name of "safety"

what amazes me is that our founding fathers saw this all coming in advance and warned us....

Well. That was a fairly sobering bit of interweb searching. It's nice to see her little mug in the pic peeking from behind everyone while she holds down that spiffy director job of hers. Those empty cities that have been popping up in China seem to make a bit more sense now.
