Old-fashioned Christian values are the result of cultural evolution! I mean, when you strictly follow the advice of the Bible, you get a very strong society. Because the family is basis for the society, and when families are strong, the society as a whole is strong also.

Middle Eastern men are so aggressive and short-tempered. Middle Eastern women would likely enjoy quiet and intelligent Scandinavian men...

I've had more sexual partners than most people (I'm male) and yet find myself to be more loyal and wanting a real commitment than the women I date who claim to have only banged a few men.

Although, for the general population - I'm sure you're correct.

I mean, the media tells you to cheat and divorce...So why wouldn't they?

i hooked up w/ 68 other gals before my wife. I have absolutely no desire to be w/ anyone else except for her. We have 2 kids and she's positively my best friend in the whole world.

Through my experiences I found the one that is the "best" for me. In my situation, multiple sex partners before marriage probably saved me a LOT of headache as I now know there is a SLIM chance there is better out there.

I don't know if it's promiscuity (experience) or nativity (inexperience) that's the common denominator here.

Let's say someone has never been with anyone else except their spouse. Then in a way they don't know what they're missing therefore, they're more likely to stick with what they got not knowing there might be better out there.

This mindset was among our great grandparents era. They married right out of high school and they stayed married regardless if there was love or not.

So I think this works both ways.

Besides, marriage was created by the government (hence the 'license') for tax purposes and we already know how that's failing us.

surely u must be kidding about the bible being a good set of rules to build a society on.

so ur married and ur wife cant have a kid, and god tells u kick ur wife out to the street with no means to support herself, nevermind she has been a loyal wife to u for years, and god is the one who made her barren anyhow, or maybe ur the one who cant have kids, so kick her out and take another wife....then u cant have a kid with the other wife, u pray to god like mad, and finally when ur both really old u get a son...so now u adore this son, and one day god says kill him, slaughter him like a pig, just coz i said so.

so u tie ur only son up, much to the kids horror and as ur about to slay him ur lucky if god takes pitty on u and beems down a ram insted....and this is only abrahams story....

imagine u fall in love with another woman then ur wife, but u cant divorce coz that isnt done, so u given in - to love and cheat and then ur stoned to death at the public square???

course since ur a man the possibility of stoning wld be much less than if ur a woman, still it be a possibility...


would u really want to live in a society as draconian as the bible would have our society to be, but more importantly would u galdly submit you will and life to a raging lunatic who cld order u to bash ur baby daughters head in against a rock and be happy and chearful about it?
