I don't know why it wouldn't be... Iran helped insurgencys in iraq/afghanistan. They've been propping up Assad with the Revolutionary Guard in Syria. They basically control Lebanon with Hezbollah. They have factories running arms to Hamas from Sudan. After all that, I'd find it hard to believe that they don't have any kind of support in Gaza....

I just heard on Al Jazeera that the Fajr 5 rockets were originally designed by the Chinese and redesigned by Iran. Then they were supplied to Hezbollah and then found their way to Hamas.
Hamas claimed that they no longer had any Fajr 5 rockets left not too long ago, and yet surprisingly they are still firing them... Sounds like they may have come across a new supply...

A Fajr-5 rocket is almost as tall as a 3-story apartment building and weighs a metric ton (which is a lot considering how small modern electronics have become).

Its range is easily within Downtown Tel Aviv. If one such rocket hits a TA skyscarper -- even without a chemical warhead.... you're talking about dozens dead, 100 injured from just one such "crap" rocket. That's not counting the medical costs, surgeries, ICU stays, etc for the wounded and the demoralizing/psychological terror effect on the populace ---> all of which also has a profound longer-term economic ramificationos in a high-tech society like Israel's.

Iron Dome alone intercepted 120 rockets heading at centers of populated areas (ID only targets the rocket trajectories most likely to result in mass-death of its civilians).

And yeah, considering that Israel is hunting down launch teams and destroying sophisticated underground, timer-based launch sites built in Gaza by Iraninan specialists in the last 4 years.... that definately complicates Jahadist's "trigonometry". LOL/



(And really, it doesn't matter 300 rockets did or not. Even firing 1 rocket is a declaration of war -- and Israel has had 10,000 rockets fired at it in the last decade. But whatever.)
