Won't that amount of dead rats spread nasty diseases of their own? |

Guaranteed tax funding, job security, industry growth, vacation and retirement pay is all dependent upon this worlds wildlife living on the edge of extinction. They do not fix problems, they maintain problems.
It is what government does best, take something simple, and complicate it. |

United States 11/15/2012 06:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: 180 Million Rats Must Die This Month To Save The Galapagos Islands The rats were introduced to the islands via ships. They are not an indigenous specie to the islands thus they have no natural predators to eliminate them or keep their population in check. They have flourished at the expense of the indigenous species. However, I am not certain poisen is a good idea as other species may also be poisened either directly or indirectly. Perhaps they could bring in a ship and lure the rats to ship with bait or the pied piper and his magic pipe. Just a thought. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27824029 When the one rat per square foot population is gone, the hope is that native animals will repopulate. |
