Dream interpretation please

The other night I dreamed twice of the same event.

The Dream
I opened my Front door at night and found a White and Gray colored Wolf Growling as if to attack me.

By my side my childhood dog (black lab long since deceased) and my 8 year old son both proceeded out the door to oppose the wolf and protect me but I held back my son telling him to let the Dog handle the wolf.

That's it... But it bothered me as it had a Darkness to it if you know what I mean..

Any Ideas?
