Which one is best NOOK HD or Kindle Fire HD or iPad mini?

Staples has the 8gb Nexus 7 on clearance. I picked one up for $159. Excellent tablet, no way any of the options you mentioned could compete. It even upgraded yesterday to the latest android 4.2.

It depends a LOT on what you want to do with it. If you're into multimedia (videos, streaming, photos, music, etc) it's hard to go wrong with a Kindle Fire HD. Even has a direct HDMI port so you can connect it directly to your TV. Not to mention their cloud offerings (yes, google has them too) and of course a direct link to Amazon's store and Amazon Prime.

Nexus 7 is a very good tablet as well, although the lack of HDMI port was a deal breaker for me.

Other than that... it's really all about preference. They all have a trade off of some sort. Just need to sort out your needs/wants and see which device fills them the best.

It's hard to beat Apple, but the iPad mini is crap. We issued a few at work and they been turned in and returned to Apple already.

The best tablet on the market right now is the iPad with Retina Display. I know it sucks that it's so over priced, but you really can't beat it.

Next I'd look at the Samsung. The Nexus or Note depending on how big you want to go, etc.

If you're just looking at Nook or Kindle, I'd lean Nook but I think you're sacrificing too much.

OK so the iPad mini is officially out and probably the nook too.

I've checked out the nexus 7 and it is cheap and seems nice but i do like the Kindle Fire knowing that it has an HDMI port..

I should ask, what will be your main uses for your tablet? That should help in deciding.

Kindle seems like a good one to go with

Why does everyone like the Nexus? My husband bought it for me and it sucks, the internet does not work well at ALL...whereas my Kindle Fire (not Kindle Fire HD) does. He called the company who manufactures it and we have to ship it back for them to repair, apparently it's a common problem. The Kindle Fire is nice because I can use my Amazon account to watch Prime movies for free, but with the Nexus I was unable to access them based on the software that was pre-installed.

I love my Kindle HD, I don't have experience using either of the other two, but you would have to pry my Kindle from my cold dead hands! Hope that helps!

Forget a kindle, Nexus 7 here.

I got a nex 7 &just got an Asus 10 tablet that runs windows 8. I like it alot so far

I just did all the research and the best one for the 199
is the google nexus 7...however, people have complained that the screen breaks too easy.....at least some of them,,,but they probably gave it to their kids and it was dropped on a hard floor

everyone seems pretty polarized on this subject..

I will be using it for web, email, video, apps and games.. I guess basically everything it does so i don't know what to do!!

Ok, my 10" Asus is a vivotab, right now its a combo deal with an attachable keyboard @ best buy.

I'd pay up to 300 I guess..

I know iPad mini is more but it I would have made an exception if worth it since I have an iPhone and like it.

Get an ipad2 if price is a concern. The rest aren't even as good as that

I think I will end up trying the iPad mini.. I have an iPhone, love it. I suppose it would just be a bigger version without ability to make calls..

I like The Kindle Fire over the iPad for flash. I stream so much shit on my Kindle that I wasn't able to do with my old iPad.
