I understand the appeal of the kindle fire but only if you are buying a 7 inch media device and you plan on getting all your shops, music, shows and movies through amazon only. Also I have heard many complaints about the browser on the kindle fire and the browser that comes with stock android is much better. The nexus 7 comes with stick android so it will get updates right away, whereas other android tablets have top wait for the manufacturers to update their tablets, if they ever do. The more heavily skinned, like the kindle fire, the longer it takes to get the latest updates. The nexus 7 has a quad core processor so everything is faster. The newest Android update came out yesterday and the nexus already has it. It has the android market right out of the box. If you want amazon marketplace you just side load it, much easier than getting the android market on the fire. I've read that if HDMI out is important to you that an mhl adaptor works on the nexus. So basically I think if you want a tablet that does media very well the nexus 7 is the best, but of you want a media device that is locked into amazon the kindle fire is the better option. For me though, as soon add I read that you had ads on the lock screen unless you paid extra I had to skip even considering the fire. |

Oh and as, not add. |
