Re: What is the best appetizer?
I make a thing we call the diablito. A focaccio bread, a type of Italian flat bread. Ahi tuna sashimi pieces on top, onion, avocado, and chipotle sauce.

It's Italian, it's Japanese, it's Mexican. All at once. Like a Mexican sushi pizza from heaven.

very interesting. I'd try it if I could get good tuna sashimi here.

Re: What is the best appetizer?
So I just tried a new recipe I found on pinterest (which is the devil btw) and it was so good.

2 ingredient pumpkin cookies

1 can (or fresh) pumpkin
1 box spice cake mix

Mix together drop by spoon full on greases cookie sheet bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes

So good they have a muffin like texture and taste like pumpkin doughnuts.

I know that's more of a dessert but I figured it since this post was still going I'd add it here,

Artichoke Dip

1 cup mayo
1 cup Parmesean cheese
1 can drained marinated (or not) artichoke hearts chopped

Mix together and bake in a 350 oven for 30 minutes or until brown.

Between this and deviled eggs my family never needs anything else :)

Re: What is the best appetizer?
Velveeta rotale dip - It's easy to make, can feed lots of people, and is DELICIOUS! My whole family loves this.

1 lb. (16 oz.) Velveeta pasteurized prepared cheese product
1 roll Jimmy Dean hot or original sausage
1 can Rotel Mexican tomatoes (for less spicy flavor, use original)

Brown meat until fully cooked. Should be very little grease. Meanwhile cut Velveeta into small cubes. When meat is fully cooked slowly add cubes of Velveeta, while stirring frequently. Turn burner to medium/high.
When Velveeta is melted turn burner to medium/low. Add Rotel Tomato mix. Mix well.

Best when dip is hot or kept warm. Great with chips, in tacos or burritos, or even omlettes.

I made this today and it was really good. Very moist and tasty.

Re: What is the best appetizer?
Thanks for all these suggestions! I made spinch dip and tomato basil and mozzeralla that were good and plan to try the many suggestions here.

I had a cesear salad that was the best appetizer.

Another one I enjoy, is cream cheese rolled in lunch meat.
