Since that time it's devilishly hard for me to go more than a day without rest. *I didn't have drugs, but the heat was so oppressive where I was (in the southern U.S.) that I just couldn't rest at all. |

Oftentimes 24-30 hours once or twice a week. I do like to catch up with sleep when I get the chance but if I stay busy I can stay up for awhile or sustain myself with tiny naps. Three things to watch out for. 1) After 24 hours your parts of your body will unconciously go to sleep (not the numby feeling that you get when a limb loses blood). It feels funny. Its no big deal when you stay up past 24 hours often you get used to it. 2) Keep your mind stable. Stay grounded. If something doesn't seem real don't pay attention to it. don't worry about it. 3) If your resting heart rate goes over 140 bpm or so start paying attention and know that you should probably get some rest soon. A racing heart is not good and can lead to long term damage and it can even be hard to fall asleep and rest once you get to this point. Other stress factors in life will have something to do with this...not just lack of sleep. When this happened to me, alcohol didn't get me to rest. It finally took a big plate of enchiladas to help me crash. You cannot destroy my vision when you see my vision undestroyed because I am just an undestroyer. |

We stacked up 168 cups of coffee and where completely buggered by the end of it.. (manual work on a building project) being over tired plus buzzing from finishing the project on time I have the demented brain wave that I would go home and ask out this really sexy Danish girl (Helga) I had be drooling over for ages. Lets say she never went out with me again as after a 1/2 pint of beer I fell asleep at the bar *blush* However I did earn enough in those 4 days to go and buy a sports car, which almost made up for messing up my date with Helga. And it took about 3 weeks for me to work that exhaustion out of my system.. |
