I am convinced that if time wave has any validity it is in the inverse and today (or maybe tomorrow) will be the first day in history when nothing at all new was invented, everything was a repeat.

So the novelty plot actually directly describes the amount of novelty and there was a bit of subterfuge (often happens in occult texts).

People are always harping on about new inventions but in my experience the hype has increased and the substance disappeared. Consider the current hype over those flexible screens that can't actually even be folded up in new mobile phones - nearly useless invention, enormous amount of media masturbation. Novelty zero point.
