No. DC in under assumed Monarchal rule.

'o' thinks he can dictate everything by executive order and not one limp dick on the Hill has stood up and told him to stop.

Got news for you.

You are not a member of the executive branch nor do you work for the corporatation of The United States, so you are not LIABLE for adhereing to these dictates. But the cops don't understand that so you better be prepared if you choose to disobey Herr obama.

Ever notice how when they need more money, to maintain their salaries, they immediately fine a need to increase the amount of money they get from sin taxes??? They have been working on cell phone usage this way, I expect them to start picking on a way to declare to much cell phone usage as a way of harming ones self or point out its addictiveness for women...

This will offer new illegal opportunities to pick up extra cash. Those who won't use their cigarette allotment will go buy the smokes and resell them, like some do with their EBT food cards.

Well, ObamabCare creators don't want to pay for cancer treatment.

If asked the government to pay for your healthcare, then you basically sold your (health) rights to the government.

I'm just going to throw this out there, crazy as it sounds. Years ago when I first started listening to SQ's radio program, he made a bold assertion about why the government seems SO intent on getting people to quit smoking! After all, this is the same government that wants to ban raw milk, home gardens, vitamins...you know, anything with healthy benefits. So why are they SO concerned for your health when it comes to smoking despite their lack of concern in EVERY OTHER area? Here was the bold assertion...Smokers don't TASTE good! Should I repeat that? Did I stutter?...SMOKERS DON'T TASTE GOOD!

Did you really think they would stop with putting aborted fetal cell tissue in our coffee creamer and soups for "flavor enhancers"? "Soylent Green" wasn't a movie...it was a WARNING!

You should all consider growing your own, dry it, and smoke it up. Never darken the door of a store for your smoke.
It's not that hard to grow, but the drying part isn't that easy.

EXCELLENT!

The more smokers we take off the street, the more 2nd hand smoke we can prevent(which is scientifically proven to affect babies, children, and anyone else.)

Don't these people understand that smoking ciggarettes kill you.... SLOWLY? It boggles my mind how individuals continue to smoking while realizing that they are slowly developing lung cancer, throat cancer, mouth cancer, you name it. It's a wretched habit. But I guess that's what addiction is....

Hopefully something like this will save lives- as it is it's intent.

Re: a License soon to be required with limits on SMOKING? WTH?
While making smokers get a license is clearly lunacy, I believe that smoking should no longer be permitted in public places or in shared environments, like apartment buildings. Being forced to breathe second-hand smoke laden with pesticide, fungicide and herbicide residues (along with all of the other chemicals in the cancer sticks) should be outlawed. In case you smokers don't know it, the ingredients have become exponentially more toxic just over the past few years, and people who walk to get around or live in apartment buildings generally have no choice but to breathe in the poison smoke. It's not right, and frankly it makes me and many people I know sick to our stomach. Smokers should only be permitted to smoke in a house or on private property (if it's allowed).

No to smoker's license; yes to banning smoking in public.

The amounts of deaths from cigarettes are needed. It's another great form of population control that could do more harm than good if done away with.

Lung cancer from tobacco comes mostly from the fallout still left on the tobacco farms from the 40's nuke tests!!

Re: a License soon to be required with limits on SMOKING? WTH?
Why is it someone can go through all the time and labor to earn a doctorate yet this same person can't grasp the simple concept of personal liberty?
 Quoting: IRQ_1

Personal liberty can have communal or social consequences, often good, sometimes bad. If smokers want to bear the full price of their healthcare, then they should be allowed to smoke as much as they want. But smoking and relying on someone else to foot the bill for their emphysema, obstructive heart failure, cancer of the throat, tongue, esophagus or lungs is not an illustration of the concept of personal liberty (which obligates one to bear personal RESPONSIBILITY). Repeat: liberty and responsibility must be practiced together, otherwise you get, well, what you have in this country today.

Let me tell you the story of my parents. Both smoked, both died from the effects of smoking. Over the last two years of their lives, since my father was a retired air force non-commissioned officer, their medical bills of $1.5 million were paid entirely by the federal government.

There are millions more like them. Hard, heavy, take-no-prisoners smokers. And they will all end up in the same place. Hospital, grave. They will all cost us hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars each.

And we know that they will avail themselves of whatever care they can, and that they will be provided that care one way or another.

Now, since smoking is addictive, we cannot count on these people to necessarily act responsibly; after all, they are drug addicts. So if we KNOW that most of them are going to cost enormous sums of money to die; and if we know that as addicts they cannot be relied upon to act rationally or responsibly; how can we then not take SOME action to unburden society of the tremendous costs associated with their irresponsible exercise of their personal liberty?

wow...require a license??

Hmmmm just like the National Firearms act in 1934 where they imposed a statutory excise tax - but never sold any tax tickets - which in turn means that possessing such item as a "Tommy Gun" is illegal without the tax ticket...

Same with Marijuana later in History.....

Bogus bullshit by our gov't...should not impose a gov't choice onto its populus - I do not smoke but I believe that no rights whether I smoke or not on both sides on the issue should be just as important - NOT JUST THE NON-SMOKERS.

Fair is Fair...Next what would it be LIQUOR...Toilet Paper....Water...Vitamins...Stuffed Animals

Look at it this way. What a great opportunity for non-smokers. Buy up your quota and then re-sell at for a bit more.

Really, what I see here is a way for smokers under Obamacare to be targeted and denied services or charged more based on how much they smoke.

They can spread bacteria throughout the Gulf area, they can have "accidental nuclear leaks" going into our atmosphere, they can chemically harm cancer patients, they can spread chemicals from on high, they can poison our food, but god forbid we light up a cigarette… Cuz it’s the cigarettes that cause all the cancers… Ya Right!

That just goes WAY too far. They can kiss my petuti if they think I'll meekly go along with this shit! Cuz I won't!!

I'll become one of "the criminal element" if they push this on the population... enough is enough... and I've had my fill of pushing the smokers around so that TPTB can continue to poison the population while blaming the smokers.

If they push this, that amounts to a declaration of war for me. I’ll be baring my teeth and fighting back.

Black market cigarettes are a 50 billion dollar a year industry and the number 10 largest black market item in the world.

Looks like the government wants to increase the black market trade because that exactly what this would do.
