FORTY STATES DESIRE TO SECEDE FROM THE UNION: TREASON OR ACT OF LIBERTY?

Badly misleading article and thread. Forty states do not desire to secede. Thousands of people in 40 states that have millions of people want to secede. Big difference.

I am not opposed to secession if it become necessary, but there is not one state that has any where near a majority of it's people or legislatures that wants to secede right now. As far as the hypothetical question of treason or liberty, it is liberty so long as those people who want to be free are not actively working to harm others.

The union of the united states is just that; a union of sovereign states that granted very limited power to a central body.

The federal government exists because of the states, not the other way around.

The secession of the South had nothing to do with slavery and everything to do with unconstitutional tariffs which had been imposed on Southern states by the federal government. Thomas DiLorenzo lays it out for those who are uninformed in the best speech I've seen on the subject:

The so-called "Civil War" was actually, as he correctly states, "The War To Prevent Southern Independence". If a state or group of states were to secede from the Union today, that action would have just as much validity as when a group of states seceded from the Union in the 1800's. And today, as then, it would be absolutely unconstitutional for the federal government to do anything to prevent those states from seceding.

You are aware that electronic communication has eliminated the need for a Federal Government and about 1/2 the State Govt could be laid off if the others were expected to put in a full 40 hr week (most could even be work from home to the empty Govt buildings could be turned into shelters where the residents get a bar-code bracelet and that is what their meds and diets deliver and they get to 'observe' what the ones in the Gov are doing as they will be the first to feel corruption. Insanity from working in the Gov can be eliminated by only having 1 generation in 10 serve and businesses are shareholder based so the Banking Industry is voided as it is a family run institution and that is who get's most of the profits, even at death the riches get given to an blood heir rather than to the shareholders. Furthermore puslips, the Bill Of Rights contains the 10th Amendment which is a guaranteed legal remedy for just such an exasperating development. Unsurprisingly the Federal government has "denied" this right to any State that dared invoke it which it has no right to do.

Like today propaganda has gone on for a long time. The North called it "The Civil War" for a very good reason. They want you to think a bunch of southern yahoos grabbed guns and rebelled against the U.S. That could not be further from the truth.

Every single state voted in it's state legislature to leave the Union. It was all legal because at that time there was nothing in the Constitution that said a State could not leave. That is why the U.S. left the South except for one disputed Island it claimed and suckered the South into attacking it. So the U.S. could claim the South attacked it first.

It is like Robert E. Lee or Jefferson Davis said. "A true Southerner would not ever call it The Civil war but would refer to it as "The War Between The states".

After the war the U.S. had to cover it's criminal ass and passed the wording that States did not have the right to leave the Union.

But then they got the states to vote to get back into the union despite the fact that those states were under martial law. They brought in northern black carpet baggers to run all the southern states and get them back into the union. Most white people were not allowed to vote since most were involved in the war for the south. So you tell me if that is right. Many say the south is still legally seceded from the union.

But the real truth is the Queen of England still owns the Eastern U.S. and that is the reason they cannot leave the Union. Some states in the west have it in their constitutions that they could secede and so legally they could any time they want.

This is pretty much accurate ... I say you are right in saying the southern states are now seceded , they just have no one in their legislatures (they are all USCitizens (government employees, must be government employee to vote in 'ney' reconstructed system implement by martial law)

I think its interesting the southern states lawfully voted to pass the 13th amendment (free slaves) ... but were expelled when they wouldn't pass the 14th (enslaves everyone to the DC government)

I recall a Russian article a year or two back that said that the US would break up into States and this was planned. Wonder if this is what is happening?
