Before everyone gets their knickers in a twist, this is not a big deal and I just wish it happened more often.

Patrol cops don't arrest the guy out of spite or to abuse him. The opposite actually. I mean, they arrest him because he's committing a crime, but at the same time a guy with no home, dirty, sleeping in a box somewhere is much better off in a holding jail where he gets a roof over his head, a belly filled with food...and one night in a holding cell where he is under watch and safe.

Do you know how much violence there is towards homeless people in Florida? Lots.

So before you guys go on about the pigs and how horrible they are, they probably thought this guy was in bad shape and decided one night of incarceration was the least they could do to help.
