EBT down in NY...anyone else? (& PA & NJ)

It's down in Myrtle Beach, SC as well. I was told when I called customer service that it is down worldwide. The operators can't even get into an account to look at it. No ETA as to when it will be back up either.

State wide perhaps? Looking for some info. but can't find any.

Yeah, I bet the leach went out of its way to buy the very finest in frozen foods and other garbage. And got "cash back" to buy some beer and smokes.

Gee..how did I know I would get at least one response like that. I figure with working for 36 years, sometimes two jobs at a time, the taxes I paid in might afford me a little help for a few months.

Went to the local Publix and saw a sign on the door saying the ebt was down and they could not process any ebt transactions. (Cape Canaveral Florida)

I am not on any govt. assistance. just thought it was odd.

First of all, I am not an "it" I am a human being. Do you really think I am living high on the hog? Also, I didn't say anything about cash assistance, I said food stamps, pay attention.

So, how are things in New York, otherwise?

That is odd especially if it is more widespread then NY.

Still a lot of cleaning up and picking up the pcs. after the storm. Most at least have their power back. Yeah, this is my favorite time of year :)

My mate just came back from the store. Said the Woman in front of him in line left with nothing as the cards here are not working and that he heard them tell the woman that they are not working anywhere in the country. He said she had a small child with her. Had milk, eggs, bread, peanut butter and baby food in her cart. Knowing him I know it hurt him to see the child leave with no food. But he only had enough cash on him to get what he went for.

Now as I recall right before Sandy hit there was talk on some of those threads about the cars being cut shortly. I guess that was not a post for the thread of failed predictions.

Yes it is down also in here in Miami, FL. This is not good for those who are shopping for the holiday.

Wal-mart at 275 and Dale Mabry has all electronic payment options down. Running cash only at this time.

My EBT allotment was somehow miscalculated for this month and I've spent the week sitting on it and deciding whether to go ahead and spend over my weekly budget or not.

But I was down to absolutely NO food- not even a piece of bread so I had to do something.

After reading Trin's thread yesterday about something happening I decided to go ahead and stock up- basically using the full amount that I had.

I guess I'm glad I did since it sounds like if I'd have waited I wouldn't have food today.

I went all of last weekend (it was a three day holiday) with very little to eat and I don't want to do that again.

I'm in Oklahoma and don't know if they're down here or not. I shopped yesterday about 5 PM and mine went through.

Can you call the number on the card?

I'll check the EBT gov site for you and see if there's any info.
