EBT down in NY...anyone else? (& PA & NJ) | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 9481624 United States 11/16/2012 11:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, I wish you well and hope things turn around for you. I think some are put off because you post about EBTs being down but you can obviously still afford a cell phone with a data plan or Internet. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2019914 Regardless, thanks for the heads up because somewhere out there there are a percentage of welfare zombies who will react badly if they don't get their free stuff. They won't be thoughtful and post a warning or inquiry here they'll just riot. OP, I would rather the system provide interim assistance for you than give free stuff to illegals and pot smoking slacker college kids. If you have read the entire thread, you would see where she already said it is not her Internet. Dude, it's called wifi.... You can hook up to anyone's open wifi signal and use the Internet...... And for the record, a phone can do that without even having phone service or a data plan..... I found that out from Verizon when my iPhone was stollen last week.... It works the same as an iPod would.... |

Quoting: Lisa*Lisa I don't know. I am planting a huge garden this spring tho. Got a used garden tiller off craigslist a few months ago. This is true. It's not cheaper than buying eggs...but if life as we know it ends, at least you'll have a source of food for a while. If you have a decent amount of land, they can forage for themselves if push comes to shove. Yea, my neighbor did that. He had a total of 12 chickens to start. He would let them out in the morning and they would come back at night. Funny thing was that they would spend most of the day at my place hunting and pecking in the dirt eating insects. I loved watching them. They would climb up on my front steps and all sit there in a row for hours on end. It was sooo entertaining! Then, one by one, they disappeared and he never did find out what happened to them. I know my neighbor's dog killed a few, and the rest.......well they all just slowly disappeared. We have fox, bears, owls.....live in the woods. Lots of predators here, so they would have to be caged for their own protection unfortunately. They really are entertaining! I think they make great pets...with dividends. :) Maybe you could keep them caged most of the time, but let them out for a while each day when you could keep an eye on them. Mine are in my backyard, so I'm not sure how far they would wander if they had wide open spaces. |

I had that open in another tab after clicking this link, only seeing a GLPTweets mention and a couple others. Came back to it a few minutes later and 5 new tweets. Then a few minutes later, 25 new tweets. People who use EBT are gonna freak out a little bit... |

I open the coop door in the morning, they find what interests them to eat, usually the garden... I had to put a fence up around it. I save all my kitchen scrapes and throw them in the coop. I only use 1 pound of actual chicken feed a day, they forage for the rest. |

Quoting: Ted Nougat 1339238 If they would just raise taxes and go along with Barak, you'd be able to swipe that card. Look, as a Republican, as an American, as a top 1% wage earner . I don't give a fuck if they increase my taxes 3%! I don't! My party has grown bloated, weak, and stupid. If Obama actually means what he says that he'll raise my taxes alone, and not my brother and sister-in-law who earn around a 100K between the two of them, then I say I'm okay with this. Frankly, the GOP is a dead party full of religious headjobs and mother fucking assholes that don't represent me any longer. I am all for 3% raise, if they close the goddamn borders and attack welfare and disability fraud aggressively! If they do away with affirmative action and make some real social reform, I'll gladly pay an extra 3%! I figure with working for 36 years, sometimes two jobs at a time, the taxes I paid in might afford me a little help for a few months. Hope you never find yourself in a similar situation. And no, this is not my internet connection because I know that will come up as well LOL Wouldn't even dignify the ignorance with a reply. When anyone of you who always have something to say about people who find themselves in a situation when asking for ASSISTANCE may be necessary, can show a paycheck with a specific recipients name on it saying your taxes are going directly to them. Until then stop running your mouth and pray you never find yourself in that predicament. Smh |
