EBT down in NY...anyone else? (& PA & NJ)

If you have read the entire thread, you would see where she already said it is not her Internet. Dude, it's called wifi.... You can hook up to anyone's open wifi signal and use the Internet...... And for the record, a phone can do that without even having phone service or a data plan..... I found that out from Verizon when my iPhone was stollen last week.... It works the same as an iPod would....

They really are entertaining! I think they make great pets...with dividends. :) Maybe you could keep them caged most of the time, but let them out for a while each day when you could keep an eye on them. Mine are in my backyard, so I'm not sure how far they would wander if they had wide open spaces.

For entertainment, hit up search.twitter.com and search EBT. I had that open in another tab after clicking this link, only seeing a GLPTweets mention and a couple others. Came back to it a few minutes later and 5 new tweets. Then a few minutes later, 25 new tweets. People who use EBT are gonna freak out a little bit...

There was an article in the news yesterday saying that NY would be eligible for extra food money for coverage from the storm(s) .. maybe they are trying to do that?

Or maybe they are trying to cut people out .. wouldn't surprise me .. my cousin lost every last thing on the first floor of her house .. luckily her mother owns the apartment and was on the second floor or she wouldn't even have the floor to sleep on with her kid ..

You don't need a huge place, I have 7 birds and we live in the city.... I open the coop door in the morning, they find what interests them to eat, usually the garden... I had to put a fence up around it. I save all my kitchen scrapes and throw them in the coop. I only use 1 pound of actual chicken feed a day, they forage for the rest.

Saddletramp is correct. In additon, there were rumors that this was going to happen to bank debit cards as well and also the possibility of a bank holiday after the elections. As a precaution we decided to put some cash aside for this type of emergency and recently purchase some extra items (motion sensor lights, oatmeal, soup, 20lb flour, rice, sugar, et). We store it in those plastic storage containers for dog food.)

BTW - there is a killer, very simple recipe for making bread and flour is cheap just using flour, water, yeast and salt. Has hard crust like french bread - moist in center.


Recipe vary a bit. The one we use is 19 hours for raising.

Wouldn't even dignify the ignorance with a reply. When anyone of you who always have something to say about people who find themselves in a situation when asking for ASSISTANCE may be necessary, can show a paycheck with a specific recipients name on it saying your taxes are going directly to them. Until then stop running your mouth and pray you never find yourself in that predicament. Smh

The ebt system is also down in FLORIDA...just got back from the grocery store. They say it is statewide, but from some of these posts it sounds like it could be nationwide.

Great timing just before Thanksgiving....

One .. internet can be free ..

Two .. I can barely afford well balanced meals .. and my children's school requires the internet to do their work ..

.. so really, whose priorities are out of wack ..
