Get out into your community, community center, church etc. Find what's available in the way of assistance, trading services, networking etc. Do it now before it gets worse.

What can you make or do for extra $. Maybe organize a local Christmas craft / trade fair. Reach out into your community. It's now to the point American's are going to need to group together, back to community, family to make it.

Find what you may be able to trade etc. I know Craigs List can be a good resource as long as you are careful and keep any Craigs List contact away from where you live.

I'm sorry you are in this position. Don't give up, your kids need you to be strong.

I am so sorry to hear that. People need to understand that the cost of everything has tripled. A loaf of bread four years ago was $1.59 and now it's 3.99. More than double. Cereal costs as much as a roast beef used to cost that now costs $15.00 for an average one. People are now working more and making less. I haven't had a raise in 4 years and my ,pay check has gone done consistently for tthree years. Health care cost has increased and now I pay more out of pocket expenses. I think you did what you thought was right. That must have been a very hard thing to do. may God bless you and your family. I will keep you in prayer.

I shared a really nice condo, close to the beach in near Destin, FL.. paid all utilities, cable, cell, internet, food, insurance, went out to eat, no car payment.. it can be done.

Also, who ever gave me a neg. karma for no empathy.. Bite me. When someone who makes more than enough money to survive and has pratically no debt, and they claim they can't make ends meet.. I am gonna call it like it is.. utter bulls**t.

My friends mom is disabled, and lives off her $700mo SSI check, pays her bills, and that includes a mortgage, a $300 powerbill (during the summer), and phone/internet bill. She recieves no other income, no food stamps, and she still eats, and helps her daughter out with diapers for her baby.

There is no excuse for this op. Period. Excuse me for calling BS.

I can't believe that even you guys fall for the 1 child policy mantra - have you ever noticed that the elites (Buffet, Ted Turner, Queen Elizabeth, etc.) always have lots of kids?

A very strong, large family is truly the most valuable asset in life. "The Powers That Be" don't want us/you to have one, too, because they know that that is the biggest weapon against them. When a family can depend on itself, it doesn't need government.

Children can cost a lot of money if you raise them in a very spoiled atmosphere but you can also raise them in a thrifty atmosphere with good values. If your goal is to turn out adults that can help fix this messed up system, it can be done. (For example, Ron Paul said in farewell speech last week that homeschoolers would be the only ones that could fix this country and bring back the constitution.)

Be smart, be thrifty, and raise your kids right, people. They are a great asset.

The OP states clearly NO car payments and house payment is LOW.

NO WAY would I marry a guy who has to pay $1200 a month in child support . . . much less have children with him!
