Directv, cable, house phone(if u have a cell for emergency's), garbage (if u live in the country burn paper, mulch left over food scraps). Already did that but with winter you need heat, water, food, kids grow and grow and grow. Feel ya only have 1 little man and it's almost imposible to keep up. Good luck and God bless |

Oldmotherhubbard User ID: 3926723 United States 11/16/2012 12:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The first thing you need to do is enter survival mode, all moms have it. Get rid of any luxuries (cell, cable, internet etc...) you may think you will die but I promise you won't and you will actually enjoy life much more. Plan your meals so that you can have leftovers for lunches or dinners the next night. Turkeys are the good buy right now, roast one on a sunday and eat off of it turkey sandwiches, pot pies and soups off the rest. Make everything you can yourself, use coupons! It sucks, it is hard, but sadly it is happening to a lot of people. Good luck to you and God bless. With no credit cards, no car payment, and low house payments you need to determine where you are bleeding all the money. I know 4 kids is expensive. It's good you aren't running up credit cards. That only makes things worse. Eating fast food? Cut that out if so. Also, don't buy the expensive prepackaged microwave meals. Buy the lower priced basic foodstuffs as much as you can, and cook from scratch. |

iamlizzyb User ID: 25080411 United States 11/16/2012 12:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok, let me get this straight.. you work 40hrs, and your hubby works 60? At $8hr (just throwing a figure out), that is $960wk gross? How in the H**L can you not live on that?? With no CC, no car payment? What the frick do you eat, gold plated steaks?? And if your husband works someplace that gives bonuses, that means he defintately makes more than $8hr, so this thread is complete BS. I know a lot of people who live, raise a family of 5+, for under $500wk, and that is with $0 gov. assistance, no "bonuses," and no CC's, ,and they still afford to spend at holidays. I don't get people noawadays.. OMG, my family could live like kings on $900wk gross.. I lived like a king on $250wk, and that was 2yrs ago.. |

Car payment - average 200-400 Rent or mortgage - 1000 (depending on were u live) That doesn't include electricity, propane or natural gas, phone, (at least 1 for emergencys)insurance (car, home life, and medical), fuel (need it to get to that job and get the kids where they need to be-babysitter, extra help w/homework, sports, doctor and dentist appt. ) The list of the stuff kids need and do is endless. Food and clothing for a large family even w/ hand me downs is endless. Stop being a complete ass. It's tough today no matter how much u work. Wages suck! Benefits suck! Trolls suck more! |

At $8 per hour 40 hour for both would be $320 each, plus 20 hours ot for hubby at $12 per hour $240...that would total $880 per week before taxes. With deductions you should be at around $600 per week take home for both combined. I hate to break it to you, $600 a week is nothing for a family to try and live off of. It would be hard, but not to the point of selling/pawning a wedding ring? I agree, hubby makes about $1000 per week and wife around $600 and they're crackheads and alcoholics, lol...OR.... She's just your everyday standard issue ATTENTION WHORE, lol! "The Tree of Liberty is Thirsty and needs Watering" -Me |

Or is it to every woman? You must havesome issues with relationships. She made the right decision. Get over it! No, I have no issue with her....just pointing out the obvious and having a little fun with it, note the lol! The right decision is an opinion of yours. Which is your right, same as my right to form an opinion. So, in closing, I have no relationship issues, happily married for over 15 years! I would never allow our finances to get to the point of pawning my wife's ring. Actually, I challenge you and everyone here to offer to pay the pawn ticket. I'll match the first legitimate offer!
