Down to $50 in the account today my husband works 60 hour weeks, and was told yesterday that there will be no bonuses this year, I work 40, we have four children no credit cards and no car payments. Our house payment is quite low and live a very no frills lifestyle. Food is getting extremely expensive, holidays are here, what am I to do when I have already sold everything worth anything that own. I took the initiative and pawned my wedding band today without my husbands knowledge. I hope he will understand.

The other thing that jumped out in your post is your mention that the "holidays are here" . . .
WHY are people in America, 2012, still acknowledging these commercialized holidays?!
WHY are you still willing to go along with the sheeple and spend money you don't even have on some designated holiday that only makes retailers wealthier and the sheeple poorer??!
And sheesh, if you're down to $50 in the bank, I cannot imagine that you even vaguely entertain the notion of doing something for Thanksgiving.
And I sure can't imagine that you would pawn your wedding band for that reason . . . if you did it to feed your kids their regular meals it would be one thing, but if it was for this sheeple holiday, wow.
