I posted this in another thread... Any idea what this means? Does removing it mean escalation or de escalation?

Possibly removing it before there's an airstrike? I have no clue what I'm even talking about!

in truth it would take some time to process it for plut, if it's a breeder, but most proximate is to preserve it from being blasted and left in an exposed or damaged core.

UN nuclear agency: Iran poised to expand nuke work

SALZBURG, Austria (AP) -- The U.N. nuclear agency says Iran is poised to double output of higher-enriched uranium that can be turned easily into the core of a nuclear warhead.

The International Atomic Energy Agency's finding is contained in a report it circulated Friday among the agency's 35-nation board and obtained by The Associated Press.

The report says Iran is technically ready within days to ramp up its production of 20 percent enriched uranium at its Fordo facility, doubling its present output and cutting in half the time it would take to acquire enough of the substance to make a nuclear weapon.

They need to remove fuel to show they're bargaining.

Theyre doing what they always do delay tactics.

They could make a dirtybomb, combining nuclear fuel and conventional explosives.

This happens only for a few possible reasons.

1. They are complying with sanctions to shut it down all together (yeah right)

2. They are removing the fuel because of an impending attack on the reactor.

3. They want to use that radioactive material for something else real soon.

You remove nuclear fuel for several reason,

1 you want to prevent exposure if the nuclear site is compromised

2 You intend to put it to use in another fashion

3 You do not want anybody to know just how much you have.

any of those signal more doom.

But the rods fresh out of the core will go to the pool within the plant first for months before they actually can go anywhere else.

And they are less protected against an air strike in the pool compared to inside the reactor.

Maybe they learnt from Fuku:

Attack us and we will just pull the plug on the pool.

They already have nuclear bombs (waiting, just waiting to be used). This is just a 'cover' so people can be deluded into buying the company line. They want to provoke an attack so that they can unleash hell.

Answer could be pivotal.

Unless this is for a reactor repair its a very serious matter. Plutonium extraction from reactor fuel is easy. The fact that they didn't wait the entire fuel life cycle indicates a likely immediate sprint toward nuclear capabilities.
Usually you'd wait quite some time for the fuel to cool down prior to moving it, but for a desperate country with eager martyrs they may not wait.
Let's hope this is a repair. If that fuel starts to leave the building there will be airstrikes.
