These new high efficiency washing machines SUCK MAJOR BALLS!
I don't see how I'm saving electricity or water if I have to wash the same load of clothes 3-4 times just to get the dirt out. I did a big load and it threw the machine off balance and broke something inside costing me 100+ to fix, and the stupid thing isn't even a year old.

Had one sold w/house. Sucks...

cleaner clothes if u wash by hand.

Not enough water. If u don't do a load a day u/ better run a cycle w/bleach. If you are on vacation for a week-end you'll know what smells. They hold water in seal all the time.

Need to buy new washer... getting a NON hi-effiency.

One more thing. How efficient are they when you have to wash multiple times or run a load of bleach through.

I guess we can call them a shitty wash.

They state that they are not for heavy soil.
Maybe some of the larger newer ones work better on heavy dirt.

Leave the door open a little when not using it.
I have never had any odor.

Most of the savings is in the dryer.
The clothes spin faster and are not as damp when removed.

They do save some water.

spent extra for mine and regret it every day. It sounds like a jet lifting off and often breaks. We have a warrenty, but often dude can't get out to fix it for a week or so. I cannot wait to buy a new top loader, but can't waste the $$until I get more use of the pricey pos I have now.

They want us to buy them so we have to buy them again in a year or two.

What happened to grandma's washing machine that worked great and never needed a repair?

It's called China and American company's that figured a good product does't need replacing.

Remember that tv your parents had for 20 years or the electric can opener grandma gave u from the 40's. It still works and the companys went under.

I've had two front loaders including the Maytag brand and I've got an old fashioned top loader now. The frontloaders take too damn long to wash and they fuck up a lot. The only good thing I can say about them is they wash my new balance shoes very well. But that's not enough to keep one.

I have an old Admiral washer and dryer that's about 30 years old - they look like hell but still work fine ! I've only had to replace some belts and a switch relay in all of the years I've had them.
They definitely don't make them like they used to !

hold off buying new as long as possible, because these new washers and dryers all suck. I've been reading nothing but terrible reviews on almost every brand for 2 days now.

Re: These new high efficiency washing machines SUCK MAJOR BALLS!
make sure you get one with a transmission

that would be that tall thing in the middle that agitates

most newer models don't have them

our 10 yo maytag uses 50 gallons on average for a load

the new ones use 17-20

our appliance guy reccommends Roper or Whirlpool

which is like

whirlpool=infiniti
roper=nissan
