It is believed by some that Armageddon (or Doomsday), is coming on 21 December 2012, as the ancient Mayan calendar ends on that date.

It is also believed that the Pic de Bugarach, in the Aude department of the Languedoc- Roussillon, is an ‘alien garage’ and within its caves or ‘grottes’ the aliens are waiting to leave the earth on 21 December 2012, taking with them a select few humans, who will be spared from the end of human civilization.

According to ‘Nostradamus’ (a French apothecary) the vibrations of the mountain were ‘positive’ and visits to the Pic de Bugarach inspired both Jules Verne’s A Journey to the Centre of the Earth, The Raiders of the Lost Ark and Steven Spielburg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

There has also been talk of secret archealogical digs by the Nazis, the Israeli Secret Service (Mossad), flying saucers, ‘humming’ from the mountain and mysterious helicopter visits by Francois Mitterand, the late French President.

Only residents of Bugarach, a tiny French village at the foot of the Pyrenees, are supposed to survive the end of the world when the Mayan calendar ends on December 21. In 2009 Sony released its 2012 movie. The movie portrays Los Angeles, India, the Vatican, and other places being destroyed by a flood, starting December 21, 2012. The main ones that survive, survive on what could best be described as flotilla of modern versions of Noah’s Ark.

Because the date of the start of the “Mayan flood” is getting closer, it is making the news again. There apparently are about 100,000 people who hope to flee to Pic de Bugarach, France this year, many of whom supposedly also expect to get saved, not by a boat, but by an alien space ship:

Thank you. Cool site. Rennes is a lovely area, but when I walked in that little church at saw that Devil in the church, I almost passed out.

all these photos are from the early eighties, which is before his governing term. you said the "late French President" had helicopter visits to the pic bugarach; i'd love to have a source for that.
