Well the other option is to just go for a holiday. Just so happens that you'll be sightseeing around the spot on the 21st. If nothing happens whilst on 'holiday' there then go back home after your hols. If TSHTF does arrive then it'll be a short run up the hill and I'm sure that the French government will have more pressing matters than kicking a few climbers off that hilltop.

What do you mean "Pauwels and Bergier's works" ? "Le Matin des magiciens" or later works... I haven't seen much written by Pauwels or Bergier about Rennes-le-Chateau. The French author who launched the Rennes-le-Chateau mystery in the 60s was mainly Gerard de Sède.

I disagree that aliens are the enemy ( not all are malevolent). However there are aliens that do wish harm upon people which is why I would be wary of any of them wanting to help us without proof that they indeed wish to help. To them we are the aliens just as they are to us. Which is more than likely that are like us: there are some good humans and that there are also some very, very bad humans.

However that aside... the question is why would they wish to ban people from access to this place unless there's another reason. Makes you wonder if something will actually happen...
They probably know something that the mass population does not... the question is what?

These must be the people that missed the boat of the Heaven's Gate cult.

They probably think that thousands of people will be so depressed that the world doesn't end, that they will kill themselves. Then there's all the mess to clean up with the rotting corpses.

They really should have though ahead, and planned it as a tourist attraction. Charted a bunch of buses, charged a cover fee, and invited tons of people to sell overpriced food and trinkets. Would have been a good boost to the local economy.
