People are still without power.. Quit whining. I sat in New Orleans with no power, no water, no sewage (other than the shit floating everywhere) for over 4 months. I watched hundreds of dead bodies float past my home. Smelled them, too. I stayed as part of the media. We were ignored by people like you as well. I did not see one of you people doing a damn thing to help us. I watched people begging for help from rooftops in the 115 degree heat, only to be ignored. I was part of a group that went around helping people that needed it. You people would not even help a poor lady save the life of her 2 kids from her swamped car. What kind of animals are you? Dubya did not even bother to fly over until 2 weeks after the shit hit the fan, Obama was in your area the NEXT DAY. FEMA was there for you the next day, nobody showed up after Katrina for 2 weeks or more. Frankly, It's probably about time some of that area got cleaned out. You people got it good compared to what we went through with Katrina. So STFU. You don't have it half as bad as we did. I still have nightmares about the aftermath of Katrina. Whenever someone says “I’m not book smart, but I’m street smart”, all I hear is “I’m not real smart, but I’m imaginary smart” and they usually have a name like LaToenail or Mutumbu Washibi. |

I guess we need a bigger storm up here then. Sometimes I feel like we are all in competition to see who could get the worst disaster / catastrophe to... Well I am not going to say wine about it but to say "oh I been threw the worst" I got something to top Katrina, 9/11 terrorist attacks...top that because this place was a shit hole and that was the worst in history over here but we all as human beings we make it threw anything no matter how severe a situation is we all have the ability to come together and do something about it. I congratulate you helping people in that storm really I do aside from just sitting back and watching the fire burn. You did well, but that’s human instinct which I wished many others should have It is better to let the world go out of control so they can see their own fate just as I did 20 years ago |

I got something to top Katrina, 9/11 terrorist attacks...top that You were not picking up the bodies of your neighbors like we were after the water finally receded. Yes, 9/11 was a bitch, but you were not in the middle of it like we all were in New Orleans. this place was a shit hole and that was the worst in history over here but we all as human beings we make it threw anything no matter how severe a situation is we all have the ability to come together and do something about it You are right about that, but so far all I've heard from NJ is bitching and moaning about getting the power back on and where is the free food. What about the parking garage attendant who lost his life because the rich fat cat owner told him he had to work or lose his job? I don't see any of you people talking about that. The thing is that Sandy will not be the last.
