saw a news update on RT earlier this evening - said the rig was already shut down for repairs & not in production. some guy used the wrong welding torch on something that caused the boom. said there was not a whole lot of oil spilled - just the little bit left in the pipes - only around 30 gals. given that that this info is coming from oil company 'pr spokespeople', it might be more realistic to add at least one extra zero on the end of that figure...

I know you're a skeptic about the subject, but the LA sinkhole is a far bigger concern than many believe . . . and don't discount the significance of this new event.

Re: New oil near Deepwater Horizon in Gulf... MASSIVE
OP, You are wrong. This information is false.

What you are seeing is not an oil spill. When you fly at altitude over the Gulf of Mexico you get this effect on the water as wind whips across the surface, and it is not the same on ever part of the surface of the water.

Also you have, sea foam, sea grass, and other anomalies that happen at the surface of the water.... For instance when you fly into land you'll see a distinct line between the murky water and bluer/greener water.. and what looks like bubbles.. The first time I saw it(2006) I asked if it was oil and I was told it has to do with the organisms in the water, bacteria, and other natural processes that relate to the depth.

Also at the end of the video you posted in your original post on this thread when you are referring to mile long sheen, or massive fissure.. or however it is you described it.. well that is JUST A REFLECTION OF THE SKY.... The two whiter areas are just reflections of clouds... and the dark area is just where there is no cloud above it..

If this were oil just floating on the surface they would have had skimmer vessels out there a long time ago, and no that was not a skimmer vessel.

Before someone asks me how I know.. I have been working offshore since 2006, I am even offshore right now as I type this.

EDIT: Not trying to be rude

Now you are talking about 2 differently locations. There will no doubt be some form of hydrocarbons in the water after a platform goes up in flames..

The Deepwater Horizon is in an entirely different place.... You should change the title of your thread.

Re: New oil near Deepwater Horizon in Gulf... MASSIVE
So, to recap ( heh :P ), BP horizon platform blew. They tried half dozen times to cap it before they finally did, because each time they tried to cap the gushing well, the pressure was so high it blew the cap off. Then, after it was capped second to last time, some cracks appeared some miles away from the well in the floor of the Gulf of Mexico. Oil was apparently coming out of these cracks in the sea floor! With that release of pressure from the secondary exits at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, the last cap they placed finally stayed put. Corexit everywhere.

Louisiana has a sinkhole, a mega sinkhole, and it's spewing salty water with brine shrimp in it and other things. It's hard to say of the other things which ones are geologic in origin and which are just crap they dumped there in preceding decades, but it's a good guess the brine shrimp came from the Gulf of Mexico, which means the Gulf of Mexico is eating away under the ground in Louisiana.

Awesome.

Close. The sinkhole in LA is bubbling with Methane and crude oil from the gulf is showing up in large amounts. This hole is also radioactive from nuclear waste stored underground in the salt domes, in which one of 60 has collapsed. Seismic activity is also regularly occuring. These salt domes are also adjacent to underground Butane caverns. The methane is coming from the massive, now melting, frozen methane lake that is underneath the entire gulf of mexico. The Lake is melting from the heat generated from the leaking crude oil in the gulf, which is also nicely contaminated with SELF-REPLICATING SYNTHETIC BACTERIA THAT WAS INJECTED TO MAKE THE CRUDE OIL FLOW QUICKLY. Other salt domes, how many i'm not sure, are explosionfilling with hydrocarbons(oil)and extremely volatile gasses(butane, methane)under immense pressure. Connected eventually to the New Madrid Faultline. dynamite

When you make swiss cheese out of the planet by drilling...and happen to have a massive foreign planetary system heading towards the earth that causes huge gravitational effects...of course the planet's crust is gonna split apart along these regions.
