I wonder how this story would have changed if the CEO of Hostess hadn't raised his salary from $750,000 per year to $2.25 million this past year? Not to mention the other nine executives who had huge salary increases. Hostesss was in bankruptcy for the second time. The company was doomed. But now TPTB have a nice little narrative about how evil unions are while the executives raid the place on their way out a la Bain Capital.

It wasnt the union it was the corporation who would rather use illegal alien scab labor and keep the profits.

they are just trying to save from being another diabetic statistic number.

The company had over 700 million in debt, they went bankrupt in 2004. They were headed to another bankruptcy anyway.

Maybe the unions knew the company was doomed no matter what. So rather than agree to pension and benefit cuts that would carry over into bankruptcy court and result in losses when it came time to wrap it all up, they decide to keep hold of their higher pension and benefit claims that would later result in higher settlements from the bankruptcy proceedings.

That or a bunch of jew bankers could take all the penison money. Perhaps it was a strategic move to get the most they possibly could out of the inevitable Hostess wind down. A sacrifice of few more weeks or months pay for more in the long run.

That's just 18,500 jobs at the Hostess plants themselves.


Consider the collateral damage too....

Distributors....raw products suppliers....delivery truck / machine maintenance mechanics....the lunch food trucks.....local lunch businesses....the coffee shops.....etc...etc...on and on.


For every ONE job lost like this.....you can add 2-3 collateral damage LOST JOBS.

I love all the excuses. The fact remains that if they had agreed to some changes, then they would still have jobs.

Think of all the crazy union rules that the company was up against. They were not allowed to put twinkies on the same truck as the bread. Two different trucks had to be used. Even if they were just dropping off at a mom and pop store, they still had to bring out two different trucks with two different drivers.

Bad for the environment and bad for the bottom line, but good for the union. Up until now, because the union just lost 18,000 paying members.

Yea, shows you how much the union bosses actually care about the workers.

They'd rather every worker get laid off than agree to some concessions.

Like I said, they may have been considering concessions that were only going to benefit some fucking jew banker in bankruptcy court. The workers agree to less, and that's more for the fucking jew banker to take when the company is wound down. The fuckers on both sides play all kinds of games, we know that.

You don't know the details of what was going on and neither do I so don't be so fucking sure of yourself and your bullshit theories.
