I'm sorry to hear this OP, but you have to understand the mind of a Liberal Democrat. They put party affiliation above all else and they think you are beneath them if you don't vote they way they do. Republicans will disagree with you if you vote for the other party, but they will not hate you for it. Example? Just look at the recent Conventions. Many Liberals walked through the arena of the Republican conventions being interviewed and welcomed. When Republican or Conservatives would visit the Democrat convention, they were often heckled and in fear of their safety. Pitiful.

Just text her and tell her you love her, and that you are not willing to give up your relationship because of an election.
That no matter what, you are still family, and she'll always be your sister.

My mother voted for Obama and I don't even feel like talking to her anymore, but she helps me with my child. I guess I gave up long ago having a rational conversation with her about politics. Thanksgiving will surely be a blast.

I haven't spoken to my brother since our father died almost 7 years ago. He told me after the funeral that he didn't want to have anything to do with me and that he never did like my husband of 25 years whom I have four children with.

All because he is a Democrat and he was mad that he didn't inherit everything because he was less well off that we supposedly are. He has never liked to work and he just wants free stuff. He mooched off of my dad and he lashed out at me when that gravy train was over.

I had the same thing happen to me with my son. I wrote a very patriotic piece about lover of country and included a line in it about the snakes in the white house, not just obama but all snakes. My son, who has always been very close to me, blasted me! With name calling etc about how we lost, and should just get over it, etc etc...It was crazy! Its like he is some kind of stranger now.

I wrote him back and said, "clue me in, does supporting obama mean you can't love your country?"
