It might be the Do Not Call Registry but so what? I find nowhere on their website in news or comments about cell phones. Cell phones do not apply. You have gotten hold of an old internet rumor, same writing you post going back to 2004.

Just go to the Do Not Call Website and you can register your entire family if you'd like.

Thanks, I already had my home telephone number on the do not call list and not all companies abide by this however, my home telephone goes to message, as we will not answer the landline.

With our cell phones if we do not recognize the telephone number or it is labeled as unknown we do not answer if the call is legitimate the person will leave a message otherwise the call is ignored.

We do not use text messaging and all our friends know this and understand that we promptly delete text messages without further consideration.

Glad I don't use one of those vile gadgets! Miserable things should be banned.
