Alpha and beta radiation will not penetrate even the thinnest plastic wrapper. As long as it is sealed tight enough to keep the radioactive dirt and dust out, you can eat it. Gamma is nothing to worry about. That will have gone right through and not contaminated the contents as it is not a particle but a wave similar to microwaves. Just be careful that the food inside does not touch the outside of the package when you open and dispense it. |

Change your clothes regularily, shower, keep contaminated material off your skin and out of your mouth and you'll be fine. |

Quoting: aznedy .....which is proof that 18,500 jobs is not the full impact of this job loss. ...distributors ...suppliers ...truck mechanics ...food carts / trucks ...luncheonettes / diners ...coffee shops / breakfast shops ...trucking industry ...etc....etc. ...and ANY other companies under contract with Hostess now will have COLLATERAL DAMAGE JOB LOSSES as well. One is linked inextricably to the others. For every 1 jobs lost at Hostess....expect 2-3 in collateral damage job losses. WELL DONE UNION THUGS...WELL DONE. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25231741 United States 11/16/2012 10:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 3 billion in sales....but guess where most of that sales money goes? Union pensions, wages and benefits. Let it collapse. There is so much more to this sad story than just this typically biased paranoia focused solely on unions and pension funding. Although there were lots of concessions and good intentions sprouting from almost all involved in this fiasco, what remains of Hostess's assets will be scavenged mostly by secured creditors and a few CEOs. A sad scenario that has become so tragically commonplace in this ravaged free market economy. |
